I recently heard about Tsukihime after playing Melty Blood, and now I want to play the VN. But since I also haven't played Fate/Stay Night yet, which VN would you guys recommend I play first? Tsukihime or Fate/Stay Night?

Also, some people said in the last thread that I should avoid Ciel, and I keep hearing she's not popular. Without using spoilers, why is that? Does her route suck, or do people just not liker her personality/think she's unattractive?

It's still better than Arc's though. I love Arc and I cried reading Tsukihime but her route is not that good.

And when you compare the near side to the far side it just pales in comparison, learning more about Shiki and the mansion and the Nanaya/Tohno whatever is amazing. I love the fact that it goes for a completely psychological focus, even more so than previous routes.

It actually has some of the best scenes for Arcueid, actually.

People usually go Arc -> Ciel and they hate the latter because there's a lot of crossover between the two. In reality Arc's route is the worst in the game and is only any good in the manga.

Yeah, Tsukihime has a lot of issues. Needs helluva lot of editing.

Still, I have a real soft spot for the visual novel. It has some of my favorite characters and moments in any visual novel, and it's one of the few VNs where I can say that I enjoyed the entire cast. It also has a pretty unique atmosphere to it all--very hazy and bizarre. But it's also a VN where I feel as if parts are better than the whole.
