I'd like to see the Metal Slug series be given the same overhaul that KOF was given with XIV, visually and gameplay-wise. Does anybody have any advice for someone trying to play KOFXIV with the analog stick? I chose a difficult road and I notice that my execution is sloppy but I can't image doing hcbx2 on a pad. Is using the analog stick viable or will I eventually have to just switch to the pad.

I don't know if this will be exactly what you're looking for, but first let me ask you, did you just start playing with the analog stick? If yes, then I believe that it is normal that your execution is a little sloppy since you just started playing that way. I imagine that it would only be a matter of practice. I used to play on a pad during the ps2 days. Back then I was used to it. Fug, even the tip of my thumb was a little hard from playing with it. I didn't start playing again until recently and I opted for a stick, but that was because I'm not used to pad anymore and my thumb got soft. So now if I try to play on pad over an extended amount of time it blisters. That is only my situation though and it may vary from person to person.
When I started to play with stick (I'm still learning) it was like learning to play all over again. My execution was total shit, but it's a bit better now. In short find what's comfortable for you and practice. The more you play the more your execution will improve. That's all there is to it. If you switch to a stick later on it'll be like learning to play again until some of that muscle memory starts to kick in. There are other pads out there that may be more comfortable than the standard DS4, but I don't know much about those. Someone else may be able to give you advice on that.

At this point everyone has seen how much better King of Dinosaurs looks in 1.10.
But now I wonder if there are characters not in demo, that will manage to have equally big "oh shit, that looks so much better" -factor.

I feel like Verse could get quite a improvement. I think that skin is still a weak point, overall but Verse doesn't need to worry about that.

Don't play ranked.

Remember that blocking fireballs gives you more meter than throwing them. Use training mode to lab which ex-moves or supers you can use to counter and punish fireballs, then execute.

If they just sit there throwing fireballs they will be giving you a lot of meter and opening themselves up for you to hop at them and get in.
