That'd be interesting. The one thing that concerns me is that weird device from McCree's comic. That thing did not look normal. Omnics are pretty much the lynchpin of most of the conflict in this universe, so I'm sure it's something to do with them. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of magical element involved though they might just handwave that by saying that of COURSE sufficiently advanced technology is going to appear to be magic to an ignorant observer, but I like that they've stuck with a mostly "normal" sci-fi setting.

Whatever. The metaphysics of the Overwatch world don't concern me nearly as much as its people. I was under the impression the entire point of the story was getting the gang back together with maybe some fresh blood and giving the bad guys what for after they've run amok for years. Some of their pre-fight banter suggests that Reaper trained McCree, so his contact with the rest of the group was probably only a bit more extensive than Gabe's because Jesse is a lot more charming. Tracer joined when she was around 18, but if you go with the idea that the Slipstream accident rendered her incapable of physically aging, she could be anywhere from 19 to 21 here since she's 26 now and Overwatch I think disbanded five years ago. As for the hat, I like to think McCree just has a complex where he can't be separated from it or else he gets anxious and can't perform optimally.

If they have D.Va/Hog probably Zarya, if other team is steamrolling or they don't feed charge probably Hog, Mei might be good on defense where there's only 1 choke, I guess McCree would be good if they're not triple tank, Reaper might be good against certain comps in Ilios, If someone is godly at Tracer/Genji/Pharah/Hanzo/Sombra/McCree you could just let them do their thing, but triple tank makes things hard when tanks already have good damage potential with health.

I'm not actually that familiar with map specific picks, wish I knew some.

Depends partially on how good your hidden MMR is. The game is supposed to match you with people of similar skill levels so you theoretically always end up with an equal chance of winning, but even in comp you run the risk of getting matched with literal retards while the other team is semi-competent to make up for the discrepancy in skill. Basically if you get all level 50 and level 1 players on one team, you'll probably get level 20-30 players on the opposite team because """balance,""" which means you have to be ready to carry those level 1s if you want any hope of winning.
