It's so buggy and shitty, the bugs are so frustrating because the game is so fucking easy because of the constant bugs.

Every fucking 3 minutes a clearly enemy NPC somewhere is like "huh that guy isnt my friend, we're in a warring faction, but maybe he wants to be my friend if i just aim at him without shooting ha ha".
And fucking just seeing a band of anybody around a campfire - guaranteed easy victory with a single grenade, or just pop them off quickly before they even stand up.

AI Followers are useless and remove from the experience by being just fucking annoying and buggy as shit and sometimes engage despite being told not to do jack shit and stand down.

Uncountable times I saw a random critter attack NPCs around a campfire, just in a permanent stuck loop of dog-bite-man-man-keep-sitting animation. What the fuck how is this so common

Find 4 artifacts, sell em, and boom youre set for life get good gear win the game and explore wherever nothing can fucking kill you except blowouts and memes like what the fuck is even making me stuck oh whatever quickload.

Like the clear sky faction war mod, except just fucking outright worse and buggier than it.

CoC offers no challenge, does several things very badly and is in general just a worse experience than the actual games and other mods for them. Why did this get such coverage and memeage ever is beyond me, its just plain boring, bad, unimmersively-broken-easy piss of a mod.

I'm aiming for something like that, more or less. It's easy to adjust so I'll wait for feedback from you guys. I'm most concerned about Stalker spawns. It's possible that higher-rank stalker would spawn in Cordon for example and you'd get something better than rusty mosin. I'll be monitoring the threads after release and gather the data. But from initial tests - it works fine.

- Duty uses old surplus soviet gear + newer stuff provided from Army. Elites may be armed with 9x39 rifles.
- Freedom now uses old surplus gear with veterans and elites using older NATO weapons like G3's and Galil's.
- Mercs are now very well equiped and using almost exclusively NATO gear.
- Monolith now uses very varied gear. Think Loners but even higher dispersity. You may encounter monolithian with a mosin as well as one with Gauss rifle.
- Scientist follow veteran gear loadout of Loners.
- Added death_manager.script with modified values. Now most weapons you find are in junk condition.

Weapon Gulash so far is pretty cool. I like the new weapons and the overall distribution, the idea of low/mid/high tier weapons adds a good sense of progression to the game.

Downsides include the weapon durability levels when dropped and the reduced ammo drop rate, even from unloaded firearms that didn't get used. It also seems a little awkward with Suit Addon, rookies with crud weapons in Exo's but that's likely the suit addon not distributing to ranks properly.

The bit at the end of the logfile you found is the interesting part. Or open an empty text file and paste into it with Control-V after you crash. The game tries to save the crash log to the paste buffer, so if something shows up that's your crash log.

I know, but since 1.4.18 I think, they said, you should delete the particles if you use STCoP, because it would cause issues on the new patch, and was merged into CoC anyway. The STCoP patch for the particles file was released only so that people don't report their game not working because they didn't delete the file.
So in summary, the particles file is exactly the same as is in CoC.

I think you can turn the overlays off. Also I like the recoil effects and gun overheating mechanic it adds.
As for the hud itself, I use one of the optional ones that shows just the ammo type, firing mode and status icons.
Now when I think about it, a compass without a minimap would be great too, as I use the no player marker in pda addon and sometimes I don't know where the north is.

Hitman literally does not have complex ai interactions unless the player is present because it was too buggy/would tank the games frame rate. Look at open world games, they are big as fuck and empty because the games have no interesting ai that make the world interesting. The AI even handles different factions, and running scared when the odds aren't in their favor. Shoot, a blow out happens and the AI manages to get inside with minimal buggines. Okay some of this praise is about mod features, but those operate with the engine so i am saying by extension the engine is good

Shit, the AI even manages to avoid moving anomalies. AI in other AAA games can barely manage to walk through a city without bugging the fuck out and trying to plow the wall.

Now am I saying it's a perfect engine? Not in the slightest, but what a team of overly vodka'd ukrainians managed AAA devs in 2016 with hundreds of millions dollar more funding still fail to give. That can be tied to the fact that no one wants to develope a NEW FUCKING ENGINE. Bethesda being the worst offender here, using something developed before y2k. It has been renovated quite a bit, yes, but the same bugs that existed in morrowind still exist in every subsequent bethesda game. Okay, so X-RAY might be a buggy mess, throw a couple million dollars at it cleaning it up and I am sure it will shine brighter than the shit hit the fan garbage that is showed out every year.

Depends. You can repair 25% SVU for 30k, but some rusty AK would also cost ~30k to repair it yourself.
If the weapon is cheap to buy (imagine this 30k threshold) then it's probably more efficient to buy a new one.

Easiest way to "fix" it is configs/misc/trade. Open each trade_ file and set buy_item_condition_factor to 0. This will allow traders to purchase weapons regardless of conditions. The price scales, so if the base value for a gun was 1500 and it's at 10% condition, you'll get 150 from it, but it will reliably allow you to generate currency, ''especially'' on ironman.

and they paid decent prices, usually 80% of store price compared to the vendor buy price of like 50%

and artefacts sold really well to ecologist stalkers/bases and still sold really well traders but less than the eggheads

and it wasnt like you had endgame gear super fast cos the endgame gear was super expesnive

base level exo was like 600k which took a good amount of work to get to and that's only like 10,000 in USD so in the grand scheme of things it's not like you're a mulit milionaire

What is wrong with misery? Just about everything. You've got "enhanced realism", completely worthless artifacts that sell for next to nothing, attempted railroading in a sandbox game, insane prices for the sake of prolonging the hobo phase, the fabled scarcity is nonexistent (there are more supplies than you get in vanilla, really), a million scripts chugging performance (says on the tin you need a good computer), terribly balanced damage dealt/taken (nerfed headshots, mutants weaknesses are reduced or removed, rare ammo is better for the sake of being rare).

It has it's nice points, but those are few. I like how medkits take time to apply for example, but that is offset by the insane amounts of stimpacks I always find.

What's wrong with that exactly? High food prices motivates player to scavenge for it, hunt for animals and cook the meat. Other high prices just extend the most enjoyable phase in STALKER (IMO) - hobo phase. At the end you will have a lot of money/ammo/resources even if you didn't complete side quests. I never had to grind in original Misery, the progression seemed natural to me.

They don't if you turn it off in menu. For such hardcore balance, you either make enemies drop little bullets or make them very dangerous + restrict save scumming. And 1-5 bullets part is not true; novice bandits will have little of them, but you can find ~10-40 7,62x54 on master merc.

Didn't happen to me. 150 yards is a clear exaggeration and in config, stalkers have high velocity factor. Bushes, covers, crouching and suddenly the likelihood of that happening is very small. Also use your imagination for the fact that enemy also might have NVD.

There's no thirst in Misery and only Assaulter eats a lot. Clear exaggeration with little basis.

In 2.0? Probably. Stamina/Weight balance was fixed since then. Being properly fed and having epipen allows you to run with >~60 kg's for a long time.

You can fix that for every weapon in about 5 minutes of ltx editing.

Insanely unrealistic. You can mag dump full-auto about 900rds through an AKM back to back until you've completely burned off the handguards and the bolt starts seizing up. Shooting normally you're looking at 20k+ before you need any sort of maintenance.

u can try it out, take a reverse bounty quest without the mod and make sure you're at least 2 zones away and sit there for as long as you like and watch the marker for the quest not move.

then install the full a-life mod and watch the marker move all over the fucking place, inbetween zones, different parts of zones.

dunno why you'd call bullshit it on it when there's a mod page with everything explained on it

it's unnoticable for me with spawn 0.5 and my rig is OK, nothing fancy. the only times you notice it is when you just zone in or wake up from sleep.

i think at that point the a-life program or whatever the fuck just quickly spams commands to every stalker/group in the game so it shits itself for a good minute or so before calming down.

at least that's what i think what happens, only evidence is that if you sleep near a camp fire and wake up, suddenly every stalker has a new place to be, they all get up and fuck off someplace else.

pretty sure when you sleep it doesn't simulate time, it just skips time forward and refreshes shit based on triggers.

so it's not like a squad of 5 is going from pripyat to cordon and if you sleep they'll show up faster, no. it just skips time forwards and respawns/resets shit.
