Recently got into Undertales and missed the discussion and theory rolling. Just want to ask some questions:

1. What are the guesses on the age between Frisk and Chara with Asriel? I assume a kid didn't drop and get killed everyday between Chara and Frisk. Also what is the popular assumption on Frisk's age?

2. Any conjure on Frisk's past? Game seemed to imply Frisk fell on purpose for suicidial reasons. Did the fandom grab on that or kinda shove it under the rug?

3. I heard there are a couple other spin offs like Underfell or such. Did the creator of the original have any part of these or are they all fanmade? Which ones does /vg/ like?

An answer to any question is fine.

1. there's no solid guess on any of the kids' ages, but general consensus is somewhere between 8-12, give or take a couple years. obviously fanworks are all over the place

2. zero with frisk, asriel's little speech in the postgame is meant to be a nod to the player's motivations - "why did you climb the mountain" / "why did you buy/play undertale" with the only answer given being "well, i guess only you know." chara's reasons are also vague, but definitely negative

There are the main two: Underfell and Underswap, but there are dozens of other AUs.
Some are just aesthetic, some of them make a major change to the universe, and some of them introduce new concepts to the canon cast.

However, they're more like fanfics rather than fangames. There are only a few fangames that I'm aware of.

Two different Underfells are in development. Undertale Red is a playable fight against a decent OC, DETERMINATION is a playable fight against post-Genocide Chara, Undertale Yellow is a new game starring the Yellow Soul, and Overtale is post-TP loosely based on Dreemurr Reborn, and last I heard there's an Underswap and Outertale game also being made.

I think there's also a kart racer somewhere down the line.

In case you didn't catch it, Chara fell in 201X. The game actually takes place far after that.

There's a writebin with links to fangames in the OP, maybe give them a look. It's mostly fan battles rather than fully finished games.

Personally I'm interested in Undertale Yellow, Fatz's Dreemurr Reborn game, and the cop game someone here is making.

If you mean to ask how many AUs there are with a sizable amount of fanart/fanfics, uh...there's a lot. I think there's a tumblr that tries to list them all, but I don't have a link.

Woah there, removing HMs was a fantastic decision. The moves are still in the game, but you don't need a dedicated slave in your team anymore thanks to Tauros/Lapras/etc.
