Sonicfox is the best SG player, it's his favorite game. Not sure if we have a Mike Ross really. Hard to match that swagger.
There are a lot of really good players, you'll want to keep your eyes on sonicfox, dekillsage, the kpblive channel, eightysixed channel to name a few.

There are also weekly online events on Monday, Friday, and Sunday nights, and a beginners stream on Saturday afternoons. Sometimes days inbetween. I think there's a Brazil tournament on Saturdays and an EU online tournament too, don't remember all of the exact channels names at the moment.

Most of the playerbase is on PC, with a lot of the more hardcores currently playing Beta because of the latest changes.
Eventually all versions will be getting the updates from the Beta, and the Lobby patch next year will boost the console numbers up a bit since they'll be more stable and can run online events and stuff. PC Skullgirls will always be a thing though, it just runs on so much hardware.

I love Indivisible's characters but the gameplay probably won't be as satisfying as Skullgirls'. Why not just make a Ajna dating sim and put the rest of the effort and budget into Skullgirls 2?

Fighting games have more replay value anyway, and they already have an established fanbase with it. I don't want Lab Zero to spend all their resources on a turn-based RPG and just fade into obscurity afterwards. Skullgirls 2 would have been a better move before they made Indivisible.

I don't think Indivisible will necessarily bring in the "big bucks" but I agree that the game is appealing to a different group than SG2 would, and that will help bring LZ some more attention as a studio.

They really needed a new IP to get them out from under Autumn's thumb, and a VP-style platformer RPG is coming at the perfect time, when Japan's attempts to rejuvenate the approach (Exist Archive / Paper Mario: Color Splash) are apparently coming up short.

If the game turns out well, it'll definitely provide a stronger foundation for the company, add more revenue streams, and be a better example of their range as developers. That'll not only help them stay together longer, but also give Autumn more time to build funds for SG2.

It's treated as a different, totally separate game rather than another version really. Nobody at LabZero is in charge of the project, so it's important to keep that in mind. LabZero's philosophy on updates and balancing won't really apply to the mobile game.

- Shortcut snapbacks, executed as D,DF+buttons, now properly count as part of your chain rather than always being burstable even if chained into. (thanks Yomabuddy)
- Small bugfix: In any replays made from now on, usernames using # will show up properly. :^P
- Hopefully completely fixed an issue where the random number sequence was not being updated between online games in Ranked or in 2-player lobbies with no spectators, as well as for spectators.
- Training Mode hitstun bar now displays up to 100f of hitstun using multiple bars, instead of just up to 20f.
- Increased the size of the deadzones for Up and Down on the Vita analog nubs.

Make sure you're hitting them fast enough. If the dummy can tech, you didn't hit the OTG in time.

The different colors can be helpful for combos. Red bounce means that character can be OTG'd.

I know where you're coming from, because sh's a school girl and all, but I actually think Parasoul is the only boring one in the cast.

At least Filia has Samson and her animations are have the same goofiness Cerebella has. She's not as cartoony as the others but her design and attacks still have a lot of personality. And her victory animation of being a flag is still one of the cutest ones, makes me smile.

There's still some old footage of Justin playing from those tournaments. ChrisG played too.
Justin was one of the first top SG players to focus on resets over long combos.

Safe to say, if he focused on it again, he'd probably give Sonicfox a run for his money.

I doubt that. The same people who play SG will keep playing and MvC3 people who don't will just move on to MvC:I

People still played SG despite UMvC3 being strong, and assuming the SGC doesn't burn out next year (doubtful), it won't be much with different with MvCI.

Gameplay-wise, the differences are even more stark now, since SG will now be the only "current" game to allow 3v3 with assists.
MvCI will be huge, of course, but it won't necessarily be a hit with everyone who likes Marvel-style.

As far as "killing" other scenes, I actually think Injustice 2 will have a bigger impact relative to other games.
There are a lot of SF/MvC/KI/MK players that really liked Injustice, and this one should have much better netcode,
so there'll be a lot of strong competition in that game very quickly.

there are some characters that play instruments, so maybe that could be a part of their moveset.

mike showed multi-input moves with ajna's chain weapon, so maybe it could work kinda like that
like zahra's down+attack is her pulling out her oud, and then it locks her in stance so you can play it with different inputs+her attack button to play a song that casts a spell?

or maybe instead it could just be her special, and it works like satchmo solo where it freezes the screen and lets you freestyle for a few seconds to cast the music spell.
