The raid is easy if you have an Onion Knight or two and bring a friend OK over with you. I used no buffs and just used Noct to debuff him while my Rikku and Light chain with my Onions. Just got the katana, 10% Trust Moogle, and four copies of Jake's TM. Can't imagine doing the raid without OK, though.

Also to add, my team for surging menace was chiz/cecil/exdeath/refia/cod, with friend lightning, kill cactuar with 10 bomb fragments (2 turn kill). Chain ice dmg with dualcast blizzaga+ice blitz on bombs, Io and architeuct are easy. On greater demon have your party topped off before graviga (he does it at certain %hp tresholds, cant remember which). I beat the event on first try with no much difficulty.

Should I prioritize the gacha raid coins over the moogle crystals? I already bought the Katana and got the trust moogle.

I can easily beat the second last stage which will give me the tail crystals, but I only get about 700 raid coins. But if I do the last stage, I'll die but end up with at least 1800 raid coins, no rank exp or tail crystal

I current have 22, and need about 32 more to get enough mats to awaken my WoL. I have already crafted all the event armor. The raid gach would be to get Sakura's TM, she is at 85% right now.

I am thinking to go for raid coins to get the TM then focus on getting materials.

Please tell me there's a way to farm 6* materials right now. I can't handle getting destroyed by the raid anymore.

I played since about the time the game came out still have my Magitek armor Terra and they gave out very little which I would of thought people would of expected every time but if maintenance lasted more then like a second over the predicted time people would flip their shit and demand allot more. Through the time I have played BE I have been pretty lucky with pulls. Managing to get a Chiz, Exdeath, CoD, too many Kefkas, and three Vaans off of banner while getting units like Refia, Cecil, Ignus, and a few others on their respective banners. Tho I have yet to get a 5* crystal 1% chance op.

The game has also lost it's appeal to me, tho it doesn't help that it started constantly crashing for me since 1.3.0 was released. That was when the second part of the FF13 event came out. I decided to try out record keeper instead and i'm honestly loving it so much more then BE. It's allot less grindy, you can get units easily, allot of units are viable, and the game is quite generous. Recently gave out 28 of it's currency for free it takes 50 to do an 11 pull. By what I have seen the rates are pretty nice too, there is even a banner coming in the near future perfect for beginners and the community is allot nicer then BEs.

It reduces general healing strain, both because Cecil is an off healer and because he usually reduces the damage to a unit. It isn't meant to guarantee the survival of a specific unit, but to lighten the healing load (and potentially save your ass in a pinch)

Even with dualcast refia, you are healing a max of 2000-2500 HP per turn. That isn't even half of most good units' HP pools, and most people don't even have THAT many heals right now.

WoL doesn't outright replace him, usually running both in the same party is a good idea.
They both tank, but they both have separate roles in addition. WoL is your breaker, and Cecil is your healer/buffer.

The Cecil/WoL combo has been a staple of JP teams for months now, and it's just now coming to an end.

I don't recall how much GL got got that 24 hours, I want to say like 500 lapis and 5 summon tickets and people even complained about that when on average they give out 50 lapis and 50 nrg for maintenance.

Ontop of RK just giving more and having better rates, it's pulls are based on items and not units so people are able to have a much easier time when it comes to getting they units they want instead of hoping they get lucky be it by events to hero souls. Every new 5* has been better than the last, and then there's Orlandeu, then there's Tidus, then there's Onion Knight, then there's whatever they come up with.

Same with event equips, they get outclassed either with new events or new TMRs. In any case they're nothing in comparison to actual great units to put them on if the only thing you have are a bunch of upgraded 3*.

Granted I never optimized his attack but when I moved to JP, Because fuck Gumi one onion knight with one Rikku to start the elemental chain destroyed him, Dark Chimera, Brachiosaur, and half the old content.

Chain metas just busted. And while you don't need it, it's definitely way better than not having it.

It's not 60fps, it's a more stable 30fps. On the original PS4 and the high quality mode the game gets pretty choppy with improper frame pacing which results in visible stuttering.

Lite mode is "butter smoth" 30fps.

Man BE sounds like a frustrating game to play if you don't intent to put any money into it. A friend of mine told me to switch from RK to BE but from what I'm reading here it sounds like the type of game I would get too involved with to the point in which I just stop having fun and spend time on it as if it were a job.

I discovered RK two months ago and I love it. It has a lot of easily beatable content, but it also gives you some hardcore shit if you feel like you're up to the challenge.

I still can't beat apocalypse bosses but I'm working my way up there, and beating a boss in a difficulty that was impossible to me before has been the most fun I've had with a mobile game ever. It was a good thing that some anon mentioned this game on /v/.

When you start BE you'll feel a rush to do everything because you need to improve to beat the actual content and don't miss time limited stuff. The trials will require more investment as well, and the gacha is really different. That's actually extremely accurate. It felt like that for a while to me. I ended up dropping Global and getting a fresh start on JP, and I play it very casually (wasting as much stamina and arena orbs as I do would fucking trigger a lot of people here) and I've had a better time. That said, that's not the way the game is really meant to be played and I would recommend that you stay far away. RK is far more enjoyable.

Here's the thing, BE has lots of powercreep, take it from someone who plays both versions, Lightning or Luneth are still gods in GL but that will soon change with introduction of Orlandu and them suddenly shifting how the meta works, if you aren't commited to squeezing the last of the lapis/tickets you can get in order to HOPE you can get a good character OR just downloading a hack don't bother, RK gives you more options to customize the team and still have fun and beat the content, it gives you more tools to cheese the game until you can get something better from draws, despite characters having only two ability slots and being centered around what SB you got for them, it has more team customization than BE with characters with entire kits and many gear options
tl;dr, no matter what, you can't fuck up in RK, but in BE you'll fuck up before you realize it

It's just a preference for the polish and lively sprites in BE, it's subjective but I think they do a solid job capturing the feel of most characters in their spritework.

Like I say, I play both, RK never manages to get a hold of me as hard though.

Mobius was interesting but the gacha and progression systems were offputting to me, good pulls never felt substantial if you get where I'm coming from.

I get it that you may not like how same-y everything is in RK with old pixel art but BE isn't exactly great in art department, see VLC Fina for example or some of the MonHun units, the best it gets is with characters like Noct, OK and Tidus whose animations just look great(in OK and Tidus' case I'm talking about their LB's because regular attacks and skills are by far the blandest in the game)

That's pretty true. If you're one of those guys that are too autistic to play IX because of the way min-maxing your levels work even though it's completely unnecessary, BE would be a nightmare. You're relying almost entirely on the game handing you something good, and the best things are damn near impossible to get.

He's still basically the third or fourth best chain finisher, but she's always been trash (aside from that brief moment she was the only 5* base)
