I don't know, just queue terrorist hunt on small maps I think, it takes like 4-6 minutes to finish one match doesn't it? Except maybe waves and bomb defuse.
Meanwhile, casual takes at least 12+ minutes for 1 match and that's if you end up 3-0, and you get like ~230 renown for a win.
The problem is that you either can't find any fucking matches or the host leaves mid-match.

You could AFK farm renown before Ubisoft patched it.

Now the easiest way is to play Extract Hostage on a small map you know well, like House, and complete it fast (but not too fast, you have to be over the 1 minute mark for some reason to get renown). Pick a fast operator like Ash.

You can do it solo but it's a bit faster with friends. I would not rely on randoms though.

If you want a step by step guide:

-Turn off every map and gamemode except Extract Hostage and House in matchmaking preferences (Options). Make sure its the Terrorist Hunt settings and not Multiplayer. If you're playing wiht multiple people, make sure they do the same.

-Pick Normal, Lone Wolf. Either with friends or alone, it doens't matter. The extra renown you gain on higher difficulties are not worth it.

-Pick Ash. She's fast as fuck and her gadget is usefull for getting in the house fast.

-Rush the hostage and kill the few terrorist that are in your way. Then rush to a nearby drop-of point and wait till the one minute mark.

-Rinse and repeat.

I'm not sure on the exact renown per minute gain, but I believe it's the fastest way to get high amounts of renown. Beware though, it's rather boring.
