So I've been thinking about Haven and why it's so broken. There are a lot of Haven cards that seem busted.

Themis, Garuda, Elana, and obviously the most infuriating bitch of them all, the Seraph.

But you know what? None of these are the most broken Haven card.

Because, they all pale in comparison to the most broken two drop in the game this side of Levi. It's really these two cards that are breaking the game right now.

These two drops are basically destroying the value of everyone else's decks.

So, if Cygames wants to nerf Haven and nerf Rune, it's simple.

Nerf Aria and nerf Levi.

That way he is still strong as fuck but at least not a free face damage card to play on no board.

Levi is honestly a better Dragon Warrior for less cost. The extra health never usually matters because if Floral Fencer or whatever trades into a golem or something the previous turn it'll let him hit the 2/2 while you get to use the 1 cost spell on Floral to take her out. 4 health is enough to favorably trade with unevolved Otohime too, while also letting you take out multiple guards with a bunch of spells. The only common scenario it does matter is when you're trying to get rid of tigers, but there are other things to worry about in that matchup anyway.

With elana decks its not really a single card that is busted. The synergy between all the card in the deck is busted however.
All the heals and buffs are menagable to a point, the problem is they can heal and put giant followers while also drawing cards.
All 3 together just grind out vast majority of possible opposition while also drawing you combo pieces for seraph finish

Because cards can be more IMPACTFUL than others, but not necessarily more powerful, and rarity is how they happen to be separated. Consider Death's Breath versus Otohime. It's debatable how much more useful Otohime is than DB, as they both cost 6 and are "in case of no board, break glass" cards, but because one has the potential to be a wall and the other summons more dudes it can't be said in a vacuum that Otohime > DB or vice versa. What CAN be said is that Otohime makes a bigger impact on the game state, as it summons 2 more things and makes you afraid of board buffs, as is in Sword's nature. It's because Otohime is more impactful than DB that she's legendary and DB is gold, not necessarily because she's "better" (not even taking into account that she's gonna be pretty shit in RoB).

And incidentally from a design perspective, it's more intuitive to have the cards with "cooler" effects be rarer than the "generic" effects, regardless of whether one effect is stronger than the other. Healing yourself for 5 with Curate is a good effect with a solid body attached for 7, but it isn't interesting. Dropping Skullfane and popping all your Divine Birdsongs and Featherwyrm's Descents is fucking sick. It makes sense that something that "cool" would be made more rare to add a higher sense of impact to it, even though we all know Skullfane is complete shit and Curate, a bronze card from the BASIC set, is a staple in one of the best decks in the meta. So that's two reasons for rarities to exist that are more sensible than "30k vial decks should always be better than 20k vial decks".

I shouldnt have liquified everything to make a Forest deck after finishing the campaigns. I had some nice animated cards too.

Good thing banner and bat are dirt cheap and you can still do the daily quests easily, but it would still be easier if I had the decks I won the campaigns with. I was enjoying grinding the ladder with the Forest deck, but I forgot about the dailies.

Bat is like free wins against slower decks and banner is even more broken. After so many forest games storm Banner feels like every card in your hand is a Roach.
