it's about their general world pvp prowess. If you're on a mage you can go to STV and go gank people whenever. On a warlock you have to:

-Go fill your inventory with shards
-Go world pvp for awhile
-Run out of shards

It's amazing how deluded people can be, seems like this was addressed 1000 times before.

High elves have been alliance since WC2. They fought against the orcs and had their lands destroyed by them in the second war despite intense aid from lordaeron. In WC3, they were again invaded, this time by the scourge. In frozen throne, ONE human commander was oppressive to ONE regiment of blood elf soldiers, eventually causing them to go rogue into outland. The majority of high elf survivors were still in lordaeron, and were still strong allies with the humans.

Throughout the warcraft series there were (on the human side) 4 elf units, 2 elf heroes, and 1 elf naval unit, putting them approximately at the same level of importance as the dwarves. On the other hand, they have been OPENLY AT WAR with 3 out of 4 of the current horde races.

Now we skip forward to burning crusade where blood elves were added to horde. Let me be clear, this was done for the horde player base and not for lore reasons, and then lore was created and retconned to make it more plausible, exactly as was done for the undead. It surprises me that a community so dissilusioned with blizzard can nonetheless eat up their excuses on matters of lore. High elves are an alliance race, through and through, and their addition to the horde was merely to give players a "pretty race" on that faction.

Claiming them as a horde race for lore reasons is ridiculous if you stop to think about it / read pre BC retcon lore.
