I turned off that background blurring effect, for one. It's nice sometimes for character shots, but I'm personally not fond of it.

The lighting in some places at dawn/dusk is really amazing as well. I just find myself running around and occasionally going "wow this looks nice, I'mma take a picture"

doing solo pve things like crafts and gatherings and all that short, the only time you might be forced to pvp is if you get bullied out of a grinding spot, but you can just

after you hit 56 you get a new set of skill with higher damage scaling. Each class has their own awakening. It more or less covers their weaknesses from pre-awakened. Lots of skill points needed for each awakened skill. You get them by killing lots of mobs.

If you want to perform on an acceptable lvl on guild pvp with not that great gear then go warrior or berserker, those can help situations even with sub par gear, everything else needs gear to perform, beware of ranger since its maybe the most gear dependant even it it turns into a killing machine after 200 AP.
