Alright. So i tried tge x6 medlas's and it was a great match. I don't know if it was because the team actually cooperated or because it was a snow map. But i DID close in on a poor MAD and budfug it over a building and with lurms and then the las's closing to just shy of the 150 m min distance for an alpha nuke. I'll just have to be more cautious with the higher heat then?

I'm gonna be getting some free shit for Xmas, my request. What all, as far as mastery bundles or mech packs, are the biggest bang for my buck?

I got so sick of that bullshit i decided to out lurm the lurmers.

I know its a shot thing to do. But i am having fun hanging at the back of fights, medlas'ing with my 6 ml's anything within 300-400 m or closer. Whilst supporting others with lurms. Bap and artemis lrm15's. And a LOT of ammo. The ecm and radar deprivation means i can hide well and hide my team assaults or heavies i support.

I think the lurm shittery comes from people hanging at 1000 m and lurming stuff and nothing else. So 3/4 of their shots are trashed because they blow up 400 m shy of the target due to the arc distance.

Meanwhile I'm hanging with my assaults and or heavy teammates adding my lurms AND medlas to the fight as much as the heat'll let me.


IN AN UNRELATED NOTE i realised why i love the archer so much. Its basically a TIE defender in mech form. The 6 med las made me realise that. The triangular geometry of the laser hardpoints and the missile racks aesthetically gives me TIE fighter vibes. That's what makes it so satisfying to stomp about in.

Because hunchback IIC's are available for C-bills, and you don't have to pony up 40 dollars for the c-bill boosted variant that is quite frankly not that good anymore due to the beating clan ultra autocannons took.

The Hunchback IIC-A is a phenomenal mech, and the Hunchback IIC-B is a neat little SRM bomber, and the Hunchback IIC-C is quite frankly better for the bog standard 2x UAC10 or 2x LBX10 builds because it can get either 4x medium lasers, small pulse lasers or just small lasers.

The origins IIC 4-pack pack simply isn't worth much any longer. Newer packs are quite frankly more worth the money.

Shadowcats with 6x MG and 2x LPL, despite not having ECM, rip the everliving shit out of assaults assholes with that combo. LPLs open their backside and machineguns finish em before they can turn around.

Even the basic ebon jaguar laser vomit of 2x LPL 5x ERML does a little bit extra with 3x machineguns.

Lights need to be fixed so they can only kill heavies and assaults by mobbing them.

You are taking 3 seconds to deal 44 damage with clan ERLLs, while it takes 1.25 second (before any duration reduction quirks) to deal 27 damage to you with IS ERLLs. Or they alpha strike 4 ERLLs, eat the ghost heat bonus and deal 36 damage to you in 1.25 seconds at 675 meters and beyond, then going into cover to cool off before blasting you with another 4x ERLL strike.

So essentially, unless you're fighting completely unquirked IS ERLLs at 740+ meters, the IS one is doing more damage to you faster, torso twisting the remainder of your first 2x cERLL burn, and then hiding.
