Why not run Wind God instead of Sage Commander? It comes out a turn earlier and if you get it in your opening hand or draws it's less of a brick. Only thing I can think is it can't be tutored by Maid, but you have a ton of commanders in Midrange anyways, so it's not a sure thing.

I've been winning in B rank, and don't think any of those cards are particularly good. I don't think its smart to evolve a follower to obtain 1 damage minion that will die at the end of the turn, or evolve one to get two. Its just a waste imo. I suppose lesser mummy is a decent card but it should cost less shadows. Soul conversion is a shit draw card by itself as well. More often than not I find myself using spirit howl and spirit cycle to gain 4-5 charges on the amulet. Then I draw an extra card for 7 turns.

Ideally you are but how many times does that actually happen? When aggro fails you have to have a backup or you'll just be out of cards and followers. I know what you're saying and if I get a good curve its possible but sometimes removal and board clear and ward beat out your cards and you're stuck topdecking 2 drop minions for 5 turns until you die. And if you have no minion, soul conversion is a dead draw, so that's even worse for when aggro fails.

The streamlined builds had me dying or running out of cards then dying. this deck simply does better despite how "aggro" it is. There are still mostly low cost minions and face damage/extra summons. I just took out2 shit cards from the deck I copied and put in two amulets. barely a sacrifice if you ask me. Bottom line is the deck is better now, I know that much.

Real talk, the reason to play Aggro Shadow over Bats or Banner is that Aggro Shadow beats Bats and Banner. It's slower than the other aggro decks it's competing with but it has a much stronger anti-aggro plan since your trade-evens aren't actually even.

I'd still recommend Banner to most people though, that Haven match up is so fucking important.

Best I could agree with. I simply cant justify removing spirit cycle when its allowed me to gain an 8 card hand and summon more minions faster. In a way its aggro. I'll agree widow was too much. I guess its a bit mid range but the core of the deck is still high damage low drops.

Aggro decks evolve aggresively to push more damage.
Not only that but an evolved follower is much harder to remove, which slows the opponent down and accelerates your game plan.

Also evolving a follower + conjurer is adding 3 damage, not 1, not to mention ghost is the best target for soul conversion.
