Just restarted after a 2 leagues break, breaches are pretty cool. Having fun with Blight as well.

How's everyone experience with the breach? Is there a lto of interesting things to find in them? So far I've been able to extend one two times in a row but that's pretty much it, is it possible to do more, to extend one to the whole area or something like that?

dont get me wrong, paragon is a nice to have node, but it doesnt actually do anything for your build. it's just a little bit of extra survivability that only applies to a very undesirable monster mod, and it still doesn't prevent you from blowing yourself up in reflect maps.

the only real benefit of paragon is that it could maybe prevent you from oneshotting yourself because your giant 10stack flameblast hit some offscreen rare with ele reflect. then again, once your build progresses a bit towards endgame, your 10stack fb will hit so damn hard that you will probably oneshot yourself anyway, regardless of whether you have paragon of calamity.

once you clear uber lab, i recommend unlearning liege of the primoridal and get pendulum of destruction and mastrmind of discord. pendulum is dumb, but mastermind is basically 25% free fire pen, which is really fucking good.

breaches are unpredictable and can be dangerous as fuck. if you can reliably survive them they're worth doing though, it's really good exp and you generally end up with a fuckton of loot and currency.
breach specific loot isnt that good. the splinters take forever to accumulate, the breach uniques are mostly trash, and the breach rings are super niche items that are only useful for breachlord runs.

seriously, breaches are just dangerous. you get swarmed by a gorillion of monsters, and if you're unlucky they get some "allies can't die" rare with them, then you die. or you get the mobs with the frost blade shit that kills you within half a second. if i was playing hardcore, i'd avoid them like the plague. they're really garbage design for a hardcore league.

It's possible for them to be outside the max radius so you can miss them simply by not going to the right direction.

How do I obtain good defenses as a witch/shadow? Duelist and marauder have so much health and armor nodes it's easy but for witch and shadow energy shield is just not as effective. My builds always fall part by the time i hit cruel because i'm so squishy.

Nah it's my "own" build.I am trying out some spells to work with totem.So far flameblast does the most work.
Also Vaal Storm Call is a pretty good single target spell and needs quite low amount of souls to use.
Sure i can't use it against some bosses but it's great against anything else and it also functions as an AoE spell.

take energy shield nodes and life nodes
if you really have trouble with dying while leveling up do this:
>buy highest energy shield base item from vendor
>transmute it to magic
>spam alts and augs on it until you get two decent defensive mods on it

decent defensive mods are energy shield, life, resistances. if all your items have two of those then you should survive the leveling. dont overcap your resists by too much, dont stay too far under cap either.

Vaal Pact is broken to begin with. It allows players to leech basically their entire HP/ES pool every hit which in turn makes GGG think they need more oneshot mechanics and bullshit burst damage.

Without Vaal Pact they could rebalance the entire game to be a lot more enjoyable.

yes, it puts a suffix on there that you otherwise wouldn't have after the regal. When you're starting from a base that's generally better because the item probably won't be worth exalting unless your suffix and the regal affix are awesome (and if it's not too useful then you still have the physical damage affix you were trying to get)

the risk is that it could roll a low tier suffix that prevents you from crafting it later and also makes the regal affix slightly more likely to be a suffix since there are more open suffixes (i think, not entirely sure how additional affixes are added). But the odds of getting a useful suffix outweigh the very small odds of it screwing everything up.

Atziri's difficult for a first timer because there are 3 boss fights that require mechanical knowledge to not suffer some stupid death. Once you have the fight mechanics memorized, it's pretty easy, but it's more of a fight where you need to be prepared than be overgeared.

Breachlords are fine, mechanics are easy to avoid, but the arenas are small. The maps are dps checks so you won't even get to the boss arena if you can't clear quickly enough.

depends on the build, breachlords requires a very specific thing from your build.

if you can clean out normal map breaches you'll be fine

I run a FB elementalist too, did all breachlords easily with 10k es. Except pre-nerf tul, but shes a pushover now anyway.

The breach mobs themselves should be easy, just don't waste time picking shit up and blast everything that spawns. Wait for the right timing on your conflux so you can ignite and don't forget to put in conc effect before you enter the boss room. If you have a doryanis you can effectively one shot on a 6link.

Anything I should add to my CWDT level 20 set up as a RT marauder?

Currently running:
20 cwdt - 20 molten shell - 20 inc duration

other cwdt set up:
5 cwdt - 5 warlords mark - 7 level bloodrage - 3 flame golem

was thinking about immortal call but my only endurance generation is endurance on melee stun (on my leap slam) and from warlords mark (which I need to get hit to apply). wouldn't those endurance charges be better not being consumed so I don't have to spam leap slam and slow my clear speed?
