Everyone knows there is a major competition between the top three e-sports, csgo, lol, and dota 2. But in my opinion dota 2 will outlast all of them. The first and probably most obvious reason is valves support. Just look at TI6 Prize pool, that money is all from the steam community market. Valve has LOTS AND LOTS of money and they are willing to support dota.

Another reason is because of dotas every changing meta, every update changes the meta in one way or another. Even the pros have lots to learn, there are 119 (I think???) heroes in the game and they all have different mechanics and abilities that you have to learn, not to mention all the different items in the shop.

Icefrog, lets admit it, Icefrog is probably the best game (manager?) of all time, it is said if another game had icefrog it would be in dotas place. That man knows his shit. Although you make question his balance changes and decisions they always work out. Dota 7.00 is out and going strong, so he obviously hasnt fucked up to badly.

My final arguement is micro management, the amount of micro management in dota is insane, while this may seem bad when you first think about it, it really isnt. The more micro skills needed the harder the game is and the more mechanical skiil you need. Which allows for lots of improvements and neat techniques, like I just recently learned about triple stacking with batrider. Dota's ever changing meta is really helping it grow.

With the +100 damage Nether Blast does 188 damage to them.
