I really don't think endgame PvP is a sustainable model for an MMO anymore. Anyone who is serious about it moved to other genres that are far better for PvP. The only real appeal of MMO PvP anymore is picking fights you know you can't lose and blowing a ton of money to make sure you can't lose for p2w games.

both are pretty much mandatory. Occultist for DPS and spirit shaper for heals as they are the best healers in the game.

Really depends on what you want to do, occultist can technically do both, but not nearly as good of healing as spirit shaper.
