-We see Maki's eyes for a second and then Monokuma's eyes appear between 1:30~1:33
-Even if it's clearly noticeable, every character's shadow seems to have purple eyes, which could indicate they may be have a dark past like what happened in DR2.

Yeah, you'll have the cast before you completely finish translating the script, especially since some of it is voiced and the rest are just short bits, but you have to get some of it done so you know the voice will fit for most of the game.

The game then describes how the process works.
You pick a truth bullet as per usual but instead of pressing the triangle button you hold it.
When you hold the triangle button the truth bullet turns into a "Lie bullet" and becomes the opposite of whatever that bullet is saying.
The example in the demo is that one of the truth bullets states that Naegi was missing from the scene. This ends up incriminating him as he has no alibi. The "Lie bullet" version of that bullet is that "Naegi was not missing" in which Kaede testifies that Naegi wasn't missing from the scene.
Nowhere in the tutorial does it state that it is optional.
