I don't hate Noel, but I do think her appeal is niche and reflective of Mori's preferences more than the audiences. If Noel were objectively the most well-liked girl, then Makoto and Tao wouldn't be the most popular among the non-Japanese fanbase. Rachel is a hard character to play but really rewarding once you start to get her down. Execution wise she isn't too bad, just kind of awkward to start out with using wind. Her neutral is challenging and I think her meter management is probably the toughest and most unforgiving to mistakes of any character I've played. Match up knowledge is huge for her.

I can't really think of anything Linne has problems with. Her 2C is a really far low you can combo off of 99% of the time, projectile is good at just about everything, 5C can go high/low or you can just reverse beat for more pressure, good DP, FF is a niche reversal but you can combo off of it with CS or not go into the followup, she has a double jump in a game where only two characters have a double jump, she's even got a divekick. I think she's pretty good, not great like Vatista or Carmine but she doesn't struggle. Hyde is also mid tier and he's good.

Other characters are always "better", Anon. Just look at CF. If a character doesn't any glaring flaws or weaknesses, there's no mechanical reason not to play them other than there being better characters in the game. Linne is fast, probably not as fast overall as Seth, but she can be on people if they use the wrong fullscreen normal. Her double jump gives her additional angles to advance from because it's not as scary for her to jump as it is for other characters who would be locked into their movement. She's more flexible to work with in that sense.

In ST Seth and Akatsuki are both good, but Chaos is still pretty bad because all of his real combos require the lizard who is just a disjointed set of specials instead of a puppet. You can just move him forward and back. He really needs something but I don't know what.

I enjoy it alot as a finale. Pretty much every character got their story arc tied up, they put a shitton of content in it along with new modes, the gameplay certainly feels alot more fresh than CPE, and overall I like how OD became a part of the game rather than how it was treated in CP/CPE where it wasn't really all that integral to anything.

The online content has many issues that have been plaguing the series since CPEX like how it doesn't allow you to use training mode in player lobbies. Training mode in player lobbies was good for when you have to wait for people to play.

There's also how they have failed to fix the connection errors in the player lobbies and world lobbies. It doesn't properly list the connections so that makes every opponent you play a diceroll. These things should have been improved upon.
