Okay, we get it. This happens every thread. Have we not learned that this topic goes nowhere? It's a merry go round that just keeps repeating itself with no conclusion because guess what? We have no influence on the comics besides some namedrop on a soda can. Whether or not it's a better choice for the comic as a whole (and lets not go into it because then the merry go round would start going round and round AGAIN), they aren't going to reboot the comics entirely to be strictly game-focused. I prefer the US CD soundtrack, Saturn/PC 3D Blast soundtrack and PC replacement Sonic 3 music over the JP/EU CD soundtrack, the Genesis 3D Blast soundtrack, and the original Sonic 3 soundtrack, with the exception of a small number of tracks like Ice Cap. The Wisps were situational - you used them in specific sections of the levels, go a fun taste of something different, and the focus was never lost from Sonic.

So what if you can take Route A, or go Route B and play as Tails for a brief bit of flying or long-range platforming? A quick beat-em-up section with Knuckles, or a Yellow Drill-like burrowing segment? A Rouge section where you hunt down a fuckton of rings? A Shadow section where you tear through an unusually high number of badniks?

I dunno, I think it could work.

Honestly, it's kind of understandable to be pissed off and unsatisfied if Sonic 06 being the successor to the Adventure games is true, including me. But if Sonic Unleashed is another attempt at that, then I'm satisfied with that since I just enjoyed that, be it SA3 or not.

Either way, I just don't really care what gameplay SEGA is going for, rather it be adventure, boost, or lost world.

I think the Genesis games are the highlight of the entire series, and I think everyone who considers anything from SA1 to 06 as anything better than mediocre is a retard and most likely some kind of furry.

I don't miss Sonic having Adventure-style plots, and I think a lighthearted tone with cutscenes that are 10 seconds long at absolute most are the best way you can handle the story. Still, I enjoy post-reboot Archie and prefer their style and tone to Pontaff's 10-minute-long unfunny quipfests.

I think Sonic Boom is medicore, if not straight up bad 90% of the time. The comedic timing is absolute garbage, the characters are written as generic archetypes, the plots are weak as hell and mostly recycled, the aesthetic is painfully generic despite the games being known for creative and colorful environments, and the animation is weightless and dull. I honestly would rather watch AoStH.

I think Lost World is trash, but I'm glad Sonic Team decided to try something different instead of just going the easy way out and making another boost game (although I imagine that making another full-priced game's worth of boost levels would be taxing, considering how large and detailed they are).

I honestly hope SEGA stops focusing as heavily on Sonic after 2017. Hell, after Lost World I think that Sonic Team should stop making Sonic altogether and leave the games to teams of fans like CW/HCG/PWG who know what makes the series good and play to its strengths. Meanwhile, SEGA should try to build up brand power in the west with series that aren't Sonic, maybe utilizing their massive backlog of IPs that haven't seen any significant focus in this century.

I think this general isn't critical enough of drawfags. I like them, but even when they post something with considerable flaws they get a string of replies just sucking them off instead of helping them improve.
