So Bart from CA confirmed on Reddit the Warhammer trilogy will have essentially 3 layers of campaigns.

>Trilogy wide grand campaign with a supposedly fuck huge map if their hype is to be believed.

>Individual campaigns for each expansion, so Old World map for TWW1 centered around Chaos invasion and such. And perhaps a New World map in the TWW2 centered around who knows.

>Race campaign packs, ex. Beastmen, Wood Elves, etc.

The way he talked about the sequel makes it sound like they'll be announcing it sooner rather than later. If I remember they announced a lot of their other standalone titles 3+ months prior to release. I think Napoopan was announced 6 months before it was released.

The Katana *was* a great tool. Given the level of metals Japan had access to, their smithing techniques were really quite remarkable.

That being said, by any real objective measure it wasn't superior to European meatalurgy and weaponry by any means. You just use the file pack manager and edit a text file. Basically there is a line of code telling the unit which armor variant to use in each slot, so you can make the wear what ever you want if you know the name of the armor mesh. None of the chaos mods had everything I wanted, but mine makes warrior and chosen use swords and axes, gives chosen the shield variants that the lords and heroes have, and removed caped from chosen and knights without lance cause they look infinitely more badass.

It's the best overhaul out there imo. Rebalances races so they feel really unique and lore-friendly. He tries to keep shit like new units to a minimum, so it also feels really high-qualiy. There is no 20 units with stretched portraits that don't fit game's artstyle (that shit really triggers me).

I really like how he turned most of the super-elite units into monsters they are supposed to be in the lore. Blood Knights, Chosen, Grail Knights, Wild Riders come in very small numbers (around 20-30 models on large) but kick so much ass it's not even funny. Magic feels useful too.

I can't say if it's better than Lorehammer, but low-quality units and walls on all settlements really turned me off from this mod.

I've found it to field at least a decent chunk ore troops. Army composition is mostly still at the mercy of how large they get and what kind of infrastructure they put together. I love naval battles and boarding actions but fuck multi-ship battles, 2 full boats of norsemen sat aside and did nothing because you can't actually control your extra boats. They just home in toward whatever enemy boat is closest, and if they get stuck on something you're out of luck. We killed an entire Busse full of Irish before the second one pulled up and killed us all, we could easily have defeated them if my missing 78 Norse had jumped in at any point during that entire battle. In the time it took to make this angry rant and upload a screenshot the battle hasn't ended, they're still sitting there shouting and throwing one spear every 20 seconds at each other.

Which to me, along with the noticeable uptick in TWW2 chat, strongly implies that will be announced/revealed soon. The Old World Edition sounds like a capstone for the first game, and I'd bet that's when they'll announce TWW2: The New World.

I guess that's cool, but I'm kinda of surprised there wont be any more LL packs between now and the sequel. Also semi-related, I really hope they fucking change the race select screen for the GC. The Attila one was perfect.

Elven Souls aren't Stored in Waystones, it's a way for their souls to stay in limbo and communicate with the living.

In Fantasy, every elven god can claim the elves souls for themself, Asuryan and Khaine being chief among them. Kurnous in Athel Loren.

And even the rejects or simply missed ones still either go the the literal
underworld and are drafted into Ereth Kials spooky army, or end up in the realms of Chaos, where Slaanesh doesn't have a monopoly on Elven Souls either. End Times did quite some work on simplifying and streamlining the Warhammer fluff wherever it could. When it's complicated side was always the most appealing to most of the fanbase.

What I don't get is, why are most of the vampires trade buildings tailored toward trading when all the nations hate my guys and I can't confederate my fellow vampees. Something went wrong with their design, it's more tailored for trading than other factions.

The vampirism land effect feels more like they should play like a slow tough tortoise that ramps up power and wealth over time.

That was an option to me. When I just started Vcunts, I was wondering if I should expand north, west, south or east. It was or rather, is my first time playing V.cunts on campaign.

North is where the invasion with chaos starts from, so I avoided that. South leaves me open to attack from west and east. East had the armored dawi, against my zombies, doggos and bats, so that wasn't an option. All that was left was towards the West; plus Altdorf, the main human settlement, gives you a legendary lord. That legendary lord kinda clinched my decision.

Now I'm kinda fucked if something doesn't change. But we can make vampire counts great again. Believe that.

A free 10 is a free 10. Every point counts if you're trying to get trade agreements going. It's also in the same book that gives you extra corruption spread so you're going to take it regardless.

Keeping a steadfast reliability rating and enough meme stacks to keep you at the top of the power rating will keep factions from going to war with you. Then, if you want to trade, it's easy enough to get good reputation with Averland by fighting Stirland. From there, you can usually find bloody spearz or greenskins running around on your land to improve your rep with Zhufbar.

Higher difficulties only delay the rate at which you can get trade going by 10-15 turns. Vampires is the easiest legendary campaign otherwise; doesn't matter what difficulty you're on once you get a 5000+ casualty site.

Poisoned attacks have a big effect. Warhounds always rack up high kill counrs against me. You need to devote resources to stopping them getting into combat with your troops, which is hard because they are so fast.

After killing off the main blob of mongol cavalry, the rest of the enemy routes. I lost an equal amount of men but most of them were cheap compared to mongol heavy cavalry and can be retrained. Soon I'll be going on the offensive.

One of the more difficult aspects of empire is the fact that a lot of good units like Hanndgunners are difficult to use because you have to run them all the way around to the side of the enemy to use them, which rarely happens since melee engagements are decided in like 4 seconds

It essentially removes all the leaves from directly infront of the screen in a circle while leaving the trees.

Eternal guard may only be spearmen. But you have to remember that they are still elves so they're much better than say empire or bretonnian spearmen and Much MUCH better than skeleton or goblin spears.

and add to that the usually problems cavalry have in woods and they'll munch right through peasant cavalry.

And I say this as some one who loves bretonnia and who thinks that Yeomen cavalry are the most bad ass soldiers in the bretonnian army.

Empire are a pretty hard campaign, but they have a balanced playstyle. Easy to learn how everything in the campaign works.

well hmm. that's tough. Centigors can defeat their ranged infantry but it'd be tough going and they'll get shredded against their ranged cav and infantry.

Anything with shields at the very least.

can't say I know enough about beastmen against welfs to really know the best. My first impulses might be to say dogs, but they might be too squishy for the amount of arrows welfs can put out. razorgor herds might be better. but I don't have much experience with them same with the chariots. Ungors with shields might be able to sneak up on their archers at the very least act as chaff for your main units to arrive unmolested.

the only unit I can say with confidence will do well against all of theirs is the cygor.

now that was a tough one.Ended up taking the hill and holding there. the AI decided to rush me with it's first army with out waiting for reinforcements the idiots. allowed me to take out a good chunk of them before the main force arrived. Durthu ended up saving the day in the end by taking out the Treeman and the Glade lord plus his flock of Doom which I was able to get into some pretty nice blobs of enemy's.

Charge defense and Anti-large

Charge defense will only work when the unit is staying still and only in the front of the unit. It negates any charge bonuses the enemy unit might have

Anti-large is bonus damage the unit will do against large units and will work as long as the unit is engaged with a large unit.

As a fan of bretonnia from the very beginning this warms my heart.

yeomen are best boys. They're heroic peasant veterans that can literally do anything. (they can fight as "medium" cavalry with decent armor in classical formations, As light melee cavalry with more mobile formations, And as decent ranged cavalry.

they also handle all the unchivalric jobs that bretonnian armies might have to do. like reconnaissance or ambushes or supply train raids. The things knights find no honour doing and have no interest in doing. You know these guys are bad asses when a bretonnian noble is willing to let them use a horse.

You kinda can't on the higher difficulties. Just be sure to build the defensive buildings (you should anyway) and no rebel stack should be able to beat your defensive garrison. You may have to actually play the battles out occasionally.

Rome 2 is always garbage. Rome 1 is not my favorite but it's a much better game than Rome 2 due to fundamental design flaws on the battle map and campaign map. "aged" is a literal buzzword the game runs fine on modern PCs and plays better than the newer games.
