Vickys difficulty varies by country, you can play the easiest fucking game as the USA, the have a hard, focusing grind game as an Indonesian Minor, its variation sets it apart, with EU4, you can do basically the same thing as each nation throughout the game and achieve the same result. Honestly Vicky 2 is way easier than some people think, my first game, before I knew about liquor and bureaucrats, before I knew of the console, before anything, the only thing that fucked me over was the infamy limit, that I was unaware of.

It depends what you are after. Darkest Hour is more fun in the traditional sense of paradox games while HoI3 is more railroaded but has much better combat.

Does the spy network system in EU4 make blobbing even easier than it was ~2 years ago (last time I played)?

Doesn't it allow you to fabricate claims on a single nation multiple times in a row so long as you've built up enough network? Can't remember if that's any different from the old system.

DH is slightly less wargamey (in the sense that setting up your OOB doesn't take hours like it does with HoI3), but you get much more events, decisions, and certain things to customize. Also, mods are a lot easier to make (and thus, way more of them and way more good ones). Also way easier to convert from V2.

Roussillon (Perpignan in the game) and Pau should both be their own separate states (or both part of one specific state like Savoy and Nice are) so that if someone wanted to make the Basque Country or Catalonia, they wouldn't have to bordergore southern France to achieve this. Additionally, I think Spain should either have some event relating to them or have a special decision they can use if they've, say, defeated France in a war or something, to demand those two areas be handed over to it.

Here's an image of what I'm referring to. Just a small thought, I've always hated how you have to bordergore the south of France if you want to get the whole area of the Basque Country or Catalonia (although aesthetically, it looks nice to have those three southern areas in Spanish control).

Epic ProTip: use Paint.net, select the rough areas you want with the rectangle select (don't use lasso it will leave messy pixels), and then use the global fill tool on 0 tolerance with antialiasing disabled in order to fill out the easy shit, and then you just have to deal clicking on the border provinces. My college has a computer room that we can use for a couple of hours each day.
However each student only has the permission to use up to 8gb of memory in his personal folder.
Playing/Downloading/Installing games is forbidden and can get you suspended. And there is a program that tracks all file transfers.

Like a true /gsg/lad, I did the impossible. I converted 3GB worth of CK2 into 100 different .txt files. In those 100 files I also added 500MB worth of junk that prevent any form of conventional extraction. Only way to reconvert all that pointless text into the actual game is through my 10MB recombiner, which I have hidden inside 20 seemingly innocent .png wallpapers. I then transfered all that shit from my USB drive to the library computer that I use.

When they asked me what that shit was, I claimed that it was a program I was developing. I've been playing for the last week and nobody suspected me.
