Why would I play tank? I already got a job during the day.

I finally had a match where aggression was the right choice. No tanks on the other team, their only healer was a Pip who wasn't healing much, and I wasn't someone who could reload.

Are there a lot of people who deselect payload when queuing? It almost never comes up for me.

IMO aggression should boost damage only when it isnt on its maximum, or reduce the falloff effect on it

example:
androxus deals 600 per shot
a bit further, and he deals 500 per shot
much, much further, and he deals 180 per shot (rough estimate i dont actually remember his damage)

if aggression had a 10%/20%/30% falloff reduction, those values would be different, slightly higher

i dont know what the values would be since i dont know the math behind damage multipliers, but it will be higher

it can work the same for explosions, increasing the damage on the outer area without increasing the max damage

it would give you the upper hand in a fight, but not directly like a straight up damage bonus, which cant be balanced easily

of course, some characters like cassie dont have damage fall off, which is balanced by the fact that she doesn't have any fucking fall off damage stupid cunt

They're at least aware of these:

16 cards per character but you'll probably only find 1 build worth using.
Tanks were a mistake.
Very little depth, there's nothing to git gud at besides aiming.
New heroes basically just combine the kits of 2 other heroes.

Game is fun but gets stale fast, we're just waiting for new content and overhauls now.

What I wonder about this is: Will it damage teammates too? She's taking less damage due to her cards which is fair enough but that won't affect her teammates in the same way.

If it doesn't harm them at all then she is going to be straight up OP. %health damage that high along with a cauterize effect is just bullshit.

Alternatively, if it does affect them then she is going to be just frustrating to play on the same team as playing against her and will bring in a new meta of no frontliner, minimal support teams that play team deathmatch because going near the point is suicide.

I was hoping for a new frontliner character this patch. Instead we got a character that may ruin the role entirely.

The gun is kind of similar, but the nade is nothing like Viktor's frag grenade. It's closer to Pip's explosive potion. the molotov doesn't really act like mal'damba's, not just because it doesn't heal and hurt tyra, but because it actually spreads along the terrain instead of just being a fixed round aoe (they did seem to have reused the "gourd bounced against walls" tech for the bomb though).

Most of the meme builds (propel IV Drogoz, Jolt IV Bomb King) have had their card values readjusted in a way that make them much less fun now.
Many people swear by the Flanknando build which involves throwing a few points into running start and hot pursuit and then chasing down squishies with his flamethrower and super speed.
Shatter focused Ying might work okay but it will lead to a lot of frustrated teammates.
Grenadier IV Viktor was a meme build for a while https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MfQXlxIdks but I haven't seen it mentioned for some time. Using Viktor just fell out of fashion I think.

I've seen one guy pull that off before, and it was fucking amazing. the guy had over 100k healing by the end of a 20 minute match.
I was a Nando who had over 840 Objective time.
What made it all doubly amazing is that the game had stopped rendering player models for me at that point due to a crash/rejoin, and I could only tell where people were by the particle effects. Still sits as the best Fernando I've ever played.

If more people stand on the point, will the capture rate increase? A friend of mine insists it's 1% per person for up to 3% per sec. Meanwhile I think I read in some patch notes a while ago that one person on the point is enough to capture it at max rate.

Sort of. Shatter spam relies on Rewind and Spring Forward to place down lots of illusions in rapid succession and spamming RMB.

Again, Carry On's nerf made it so you can't play it offensively. The illusions simply don't last long enough to do that. Yes it works defensively, but often it's more appropriate to just keep the illusions around to heal your team.

Also of note is that shattering might stop your escape from working properly.

Some things I've learned in the past cpl weeks of playing:

>People hate Kinessa, and say she's a wasted spot. However if you build her for mines, she's actually really useful for point control. Just be smart enough to occasionally watch your flank.
>Everyone thinks Androxus is broken as fuck. This is true if someone is cheating, Otherwise, he's rather easy to deal with.
>Bomb King is a great champion, but his skill ceiling often has him being nothing but a kill feeder. Use your fucking Grumpy Bomb right.
>There's zero fucking excuse for being bad with Cassie.
>Viktor is medicore, but a lot of people will tell you he's good. These are the same people that will tell you Cassie is bad out of the other side of their mouth.
>Buck is one irritating motherfucker, but if your team doesn't panic at every little thing, he's almost as easy to take out as Androxus.
>Pip is overpowered. This is non-debatable. Fortunately, he's easy to focus down, and most Pip's are too dumb to avoid it.
>Makoa is easily the best tank, but he's also really easy to focus down, and his hook is rather inconsistent.
>Barik's turrets need a buff to their dmg output. Otherwise he's easily the weakest champ in the game. I've never seen a semi-intelligent team have trouble completely shutting down a good Barik.
>Sha Lin is just an inferior Cassie in practically every way. Only dumbshits, or people trying to get him to 5 play him.
>Skye is the best flanker. Everything about her kit makes her excel at it. Double this effectiveness if the enemy team is full of retards that won't buy an illuminate.

From what they've said about it, a long time a go the game was more like how it is now. Then, Overwatch was announced and tiny Hi-Rez knew it'd have to compete against Blizzard if they kept the game how it is; so they decided to add in a ton of stuff to make it more unique, which lead to a vastly different game. After a while, they decided was they changed made the game a lot less fun, and decided to go over to how it was, an Overwatch "clone". I think it's gone pretty well so far, and I do like this game.

Androxus is only dangerous when somebody is both very experienced with him and has very good aim (or is cheating, yes) when that happens though, he is harder to deal with than any other character and will either kill you before you know what's happening or will use reversal and netherstep to escape when he realizes he can't win.

100% right. He has a high skill ceiling but is game changing if played well.

Both fill a similar role as agile mid range damage dealer. Both are pretty easy to play. I think Cassie is better in duel situations but Viktor works better with a team to back up and can reposition very easily. Viktors ult is also much better.

Buck thrives on panic. A panicking Buck can still deal serious damage at point blank while his panicking target will not. He is also surprisingly tanky (especially with good recovery use and giga siphon) and can almost serve as an interim tank if the frontliner goes down.

I disagree. His move skill doesn't give him much ability to avoid getting focused down rather, it just delays it. He's a terrible healer and though his damage and agility are good he doesn't match up to a well played Drogoz or Evie. He's good but not OP.

Depends what you define as a tank. He's good at killing people while taking higher than average health damage but he is less good at protecting his teammates and surviving than both Fernando and Barik. He is still pretty great though.

As somebody who plays a lot of Barik I disagree totally. If you are relying in his turrets to deal damage you are playing him wrong and should just head back to Overwatch/TF2. The turrets are there solely to heal him and buff his shotgun blasts. His shotgun does surprisingly good damage up close and even more when buffed by his turrets. His shield is great at holding chokepoints and blocking the line of sight from sniper positions. He is also quite small and mobile (almost like a pip without weightless) and can dance around on the point for longer than most people think. Of course he gets killed when focused but so does the supposedly overpowered pip.

Yep. His turretmode can hurt if get caught by surprise with it but is usually pretty easy to avoid or even take advantage of. Every other aspect of his build are inferior versions of skills in other characters kits.

I agree. She is much better than many people claim she is. But, like Kinessa, she has traditionally suffered from a case of shitterbait where players think that because they are invisible, they are also invulnerable and charge headlong at Makoas and Ruckuses expecting to win. She is also less mobile than the other flankers and if she is caught out, she stands a much worse chance of surviving than Androxus or Evie.

His move ability is also great for avoiding grumpies and some of the more dangerous ults in the game. His ult is situational at best but overall he's far from trash tier if you play smart and have a team that will work with you.

He isn't terrible but yes, he is a little overrated. In a game where the objective matters above all else, Fernando is the best at standing on that point for a great deal of time and that matters. Even without his shield he still has a lot of health to get through. Long, drawn out games will almost always have at least one Fernando because they are just so good at surviving on that point. He can't deal with other people on the point very well though which means that he relies on good teammates to help him out and kill things while he protects them and provides a presence on the point.

It depends. He is a great tank killer and does incredible damage up close. He does suffer at longer ranges though, is painfully slow and isn't great at protecting his teammates. As is most commonly said about him, he's best played with another frontliner to protect him while he shreds everything nearby.

I don't get the complaints about Sha Lin kit, but I'm a casual shitter and have only a couple of hours as Sha Lin.

His Q damage is great, his stun + Q kills most characters with no retaliation (sometimes even front liners if you catch them off-guard), his F gives you time to make a free 1000 damage shot. My only complaint is that my index finger gets tired.

Because of how his kit works, ideally you should damage or pop the enemy shield and then proceed through the flanker route, kill the flanker and harass/kill enemies from behind or sideways.

Nando alone right now is mediocre at best, Ruckus is ez to deal with. 1v1 against any other tank, Ruckus can only win against Nando, if anything.

To be fair even with a 7-day booster it'd still be 5 crystals per day, which in total doesn't even cut it even. I would hope to get more than the usual 50 but since they get their shekels from meth crystals I have my doubts still.

I can see them sweep it under the rug with a booster though. Sounds like HiRez alright.
