honestly the beast tribes don't feel as bad as WoW's rep grinds. sons of hodir was particularly awful for me for some reason, and sat at revered for fucking ever until i went out and just raided ice shards all day one day, but i maxed out all of the beast tribes pretty fast comparatively speaking. ixal's the only one that's particularly long, but you can also start taking 12 ixal quests a day if you want to power through it faster.

I think it was the PVP involved with SoH that made it so awful. As a shadow priest, I'd have to make like a tree and get the fuck out of dodge if anyone from the opposite faction decided to do the dailies or farm ice shards at the same time.

The beastmen tribes don't -seem- that awful, just kind of... eurgh. I don't want to be in the same mindset of "well, i guess i have to do this now" that WoW had. Ixal stuff looks interesting for crafting, though. I haven't unlocked them yet or even touched most of the crafting system.

With the amount of B.Tribe daily allowances player's have now you can do all of one tribes dailies and use the extras to get started on the other.

You may stumble a tad on Ixal if you don't have a crafter ready to go, can even level it as you do the dailies.

How do I make my DRG buffs/debuffs easier to keep track of? Makes my fucking head spin sometimes keeping track of all this shit for optimal potency while following mechanics only to have it break me for 20-60 seconds because I didn't wait 1.2 seconds longer to finish my combo before the boss went invuln.

No prey mechanics. Another creative encounter like with Sophia's Quasar variations but a more difficult encounter than 2.1 Thordan EX. Flare Star to actually be something more than just a big AoE that needs to be healed through, but tied with mechanics if they use it. Same for Southern Cross and Wave Cannon if he starts using it in the second half of the fight. At least one of those three would just be an unavoidable AoE that needs to be healed through, though. Probably Wave Cannon

Oh, and I guess since Tyrfing is a PLD sword in XIV, his tankbuster will get renamed. But still, no prey mechanics unless it's Stop on a target, and you have to intercept Blaster or intercept the Stop so that the Blaster target isn't Stopped. If a Stopped target is hit with Blaster they get whatever equivalent of Death is in this game. Which isn't Doom because that can currently be cleansed in every encounter with it one way or another

Yes, I meant that, I was doing something else at the same time. And yes, at least one of the three would end up needing mitigation, one would end up as a regular "welp, time to medica this" AoE like Cintamani and Mega Holy. Blaster is probably the only way they can make Stop work in the fight without feeling like a poor Alexander timestop, but the question is how they'd handle Blaster in this game (in FF6, a stopped target is hit with Blaster and inflicted with Death, so they die regardless, like an instant Doom) but it could be sucked up by Runic. So the question is how you'd use a mechanic in this game to mitigate Blaster if they did decide to bring it into the fight. A really easy way would be to make either Blaster or Stop a prey shuffle, but prey mechanics are really gross so hopefully they'll be creative with it. But then they might not even bring Blaster into the fight, though Stop seems necessary even if we do already have Alexander Prime with an area-wide Stop

Nidex was kind of a mixed feeling for me.

I like how they brought back the Stone Vigil hard mode final boss type enemy for the add part in phase 1, phase 2 was okay. Fang and claw or whatever the mechanic was called was unique and I liked it.

You don't need to let them die there. You can easily keep them up unless they hit 3 stacks before Cintamani's triple cast. But usually, if they're getting that many stacks then you just have to wait for them to fall off in a tilt, Gnosis, or get bounced off in an Execute

Yeah google is returning alot of angry AT&T and uverse customers, of which I am both.

The only error I get is error 90006. Occasionally my uverse will disconnect my browser. Firefox won't be able to load any website until about 10 minutes, sometimes 20, but FFXIV will run fine, as will everything else. It even shows the disconnect icon on my task bar, but ffxiv will run fine.

This past few weeks however FFXIV has been acting up badly, and the more I research solutions, the more I see the need to get off uverse and go with an alternative, such as comcast... which is the only other option in my area.
