Why do people who were supposedly gold/plat last season still choose comps like this?

Look at the other team's items.

I even said "we might want some magic damage" before the yi and the tryn and the cait locked in, so they all not only had a chance to think about a better comp, but were even reminded to do so.

What a dumb way to just lose a game. Especially frustrating when you say something about it before 4/5 of the team have locked in.
