primal is decent and they do what they can with a prehistoric setting as far as gameplay mechanics go. they take some liberties though and you end up with an owl familiar that is like an AC130 gunship/predator drone which is hilarious to use. Complete with airstrikes thermal imaging and coordination of ground attacks from a loitering holding pattern.

both games are very very similar though so it really doesn't matter. get both since they are cheap, just don't play them one after another because it will get repetitive.

There is a trophy in The Last Guardian called "All Talked Out" that has zero percent of all players unlocking it.

It says "Hear every hint". But nobody has ever gotten it. And thus nobody has the platinum. Thoughts?

Does hearing a hint in your first playthrough count in the second playthrough as well? Or is this a one chance per run thing? If its once per run, then it greatly degrades the fun potential in the game.

To hear a hint, just don't do anything and idle. Eventually the narrator will speak. But nobody has a clue when and where he will speak. I've heard some people wait up to 10 (TEN) minutes just to proc a dialog.

I thought I'd drop it here since this is PS4g and its a first party game. Need someone to clarify this.

I bought the PS3 version on release and had a somewhat similar experience. Played it up to about chapter 3 but wasn't into it and let it sit on my shelf for a while.

Revival got announced and I figured I should probably go play the original. Tried it again and absolutely fucking fell in love. The characters and story are entertaining as hell. The combat is repetitive but I do like what they were going for with some of the mechanics (gigacals essentially being a huge stamina bar that, coupled with physical revelations, give you higher risk/reward for staying in a level longer) and some of the bosses were awesome.

Ended up finishing the game twice in the space of three weeks, loving it, and after getting the actual ending, another trailer for Revival came out the day after, which confirmed a sequel. Feels good man.

I'd say give it another try, don't get too bogged down in the mechanics and try to explore them at your leisure. It's somewhat similar to Disgaea in that there's a lot of side mechanics that you don't need to pay too much attention to, but maxing stats/power playing means you want to understand them at least.

Also Metallia is one of my favourite girls ever.

Finally got around to playing the last episode of King's Quest. I haven't been loving the direction of the reboot, but this chapter made me a bit emotional, even if it's cheap. I found the subtext around the health of adventure games pretty powerful, since it's my favorite genre.
