Overflow is fine for a mechanic that's based in ramp cards, it's just that they keep printing garbage for it.
Take Queen serpent of an example of a decent overflow effect.

So looking at the cards

Whirlwind sword seems pretty iffy due to its damage being based on the atk of your follower. But it's board clear for sword I guess? It feels like a card to solidify your position when you're ahead, nothing more. Awful in topdeck wars too. Win more cards ain't needed.

The new forest card also seems useless. It's effectively 5pp to play a 2/2 and a <4 cost card on the same turn. Otherwise if you just drop it and nothing else, you've given up your turn and likely the match. Yes, the idea of some of this shit is nice, like him into free ancient elf, but you could have done any of that other shit on turn 4. He's basically "Do whatever you were originally gonna do, but also put down a 2/2" But that clogs your draws and doesn't really help your game that much.

The dragon card is not so hot. 2pp 2/2 give +1/1 if overflow? Dragon already has premium 2/2 drops, it'll never see play over the competition, especially with that lackluster overflow effect.

Rune card is hot garbage. Witchbolt does 1 less dmg, but can also draw. This is random, so it gets stupid hard against guys like sword, bats, and forest, not to mention that the enhance is super expensive for the effect.

I like the shadow card. Ward, Removal, and Heal all rolled into one. It seems like a great card when you're behind.

Blood card is in the 5pp slot, so it's already competing with Mary, and lesser so Mastema (eeh), and also just for high cost slots with Flood Demon, Queen Vampire, Alucard, Blood Hungry Empress, and Temptress. It is worse than all of those cards. 5pp 4/5 deal 2 on evo and deal 2 with vengeance. That's just not a large effect, especially if it requires vengeance. If the evo was deal 3, then yes, but at deal 2, you're just not hitting hard enough, especially at turn 5. The new 4pp vengeance card looks good, this does not.

Haven card is ridiculous, is gonna make storm even more ridiculous.

Neutral card is eh. Effect needing an evo makes it kinda useless.
