On my experience it's exactly the opposite.
People don't like to grind because there is no one to play with, by the time you get a party to grin you can do 100 quests and leave that area.

When the game was more alive, EVAC, Storage, Alemeth, and Maven parties were SO fucking common, it was the most populated maps in the game, sometimes even too much to the point that parties had to compete for mob spawns.

CnL was pretty comfy but now it's a clusterfuck because the only requirement seems to be to be active.
People who have been with the guild for months get kicked out and replaced if they go inactive for a week or two, in favor of literally anyone who logs in everyday.

Rank reset is once per account.
It is time limited (1 day to get it, 14 days to use it).
There are a bunch of requirements for using it (strip all items, remove pet, close shop, templars need to leave guild or disband it and so on).
You will lose all attributes on use, but you can relearn them at no cost. If you lose attributes and change to another class, you are not refunded any silver.
You have to redo all class change quests.
You'll lose all costumes you have (not paid ones).
You will not lose requirements for hidden classes (unless the hidden class requires a specific class).

Now comes the bad part.

When used, you only get 1 exp card per rank lost. This card puts you to the next rank. If you use this reset part way through a rank, you will lose all progress in this rank.
For example, if you're rank 7, class level 14 with 99% exp, you will reset to rank 7, class level 1. You will not be compensated for those 14 levels and 99% worth of exp you lost.
It doesn't state what happens if you're rank 8 class level 15. But I would assume you're reset to rank 8 class level 1.
