Holy shit what's happening to me! I haven't logged in and play since like a month ago. Just log in, see if the fat bear with no cooking talent has any recipes or AK is ready then log out.

Hell even looking at my 100 alts and realizing that leveling them is just the beginning of the endless AP and AK farming really turns me down.

The weirdest part is that wod kept me more interested playing with my alts and my main than Legion. It was so fucking fun running BRF and later pugging HFC, EN is shit and the red/purple palette everywhere is tiring me. ToV is meh and even doing normal mode is tiring, specially more gold palette (I really regret maining warrior this expansion) but at least Garm has a nice model.

This expansion has braindead mechanics in every boss and PvP is disgusting.

There are quite a lot of viable specs for you to choose from. Every class has a role and can preform it well enough to raid at a high level.

I mean you don't have to like it but I find it fun. It feels like an actual RPG to me whereas retail I can't stand.

I get why people like retail I suppose. It's not a particularly bad game. It's even pretty absurd to compare vanilla to retail. Vanilla is an MMORPG, retail is something else entirely.

Retail is too grindy for me. I prefer exploring a world I've never seen before in vanilla and having fun world PvP battles. When I want to get grindy I can always bang out some BG's or farm gold for an epic mount or something.

But retail has too much RNG for me. I didn't like getting 3 useless orange items in a row. Not my game, but it's okay if you enjoy it Anon!

I enjoy the detective work in vanilla wow that lead to immersion. You accept a quest and look at your map.........and there's nothing. You have to read the quest and figure out where to go based on subtle clues, making you enjoy the zones all the more.

Yeah! It's a new and fresh experience for me and I was loving it!

Every day I logged on to a new quest, a new zone, a new dungeon. I made a few friends and we explored caves and sometimes tried to climb mountains. Unfortunately I never got to do the raids but hopefully when Nost relaunches I will get to do them and make some more friends.

Preparing for a raid consisted of having your bags full of soul shards ahead of time, having all the proper gear, having farmed all the proper potion and elixir materials, making sure your resistance gear is correct for the fight you're on, then spamming Shadow Bolt or leaving DoTs on Onyxia.

I recently played WoW again from 1-60 (before un-subbing) in start zones, after playing legion and raiding a ton, and it really nailed why Vanilla was way better then Now.

The world actually felt interesting and fun to play with, and people genuinely did alot of shit for funsies.

Questing in Vanilla starting zone felt like a slow leisurely pace where i got to enjoy environments, and when i got a quest to a cave, the cave genuinely felt interesting in a mysterious way.

Nowadays they seem to jam-pack shit so tightly together and railroad you to blitz levelling.

Pvp in the world was genuinely fun and exciting, there was no carrots, people just did it for the lolz and to grief.

nowadays EVERYTHING has to have a carrot and stick, which just funnels people to do the same thing which gives us the carrot.

I remember when BG's were introduced, world pvp dried up damn near instantly.

paladin/Shaman was a constant fucking debate, and you know what? it was way more fun when it was like that then all this equality shit and both sides are so homogeneous now.

Dungeons were fuck-long yes, but it really did raise the tension, you had to bring 2 disable characters (sap, sheep, hex) in UBRS and watch pats carefully.

Now with mythic timers, everyone just chain-pulls, aoe's and blitz the dungeon.

Depends on the build. I see shaman healers try and run cloud burst and high tide and torrent for mythic+ and it's terrible.
Shamans excel with their great cooldowns that can save the entire group in big "oh shit" moments with spirit link, ascendance, ancestral guidance and healing tide totem.

I find Disc is the most engaging because you're proactive in your healing, but its by no means the most effective healer.

As for what is, every healer has strong and weak points. Holy Priests have great CDs and can do good raid healing, but when it comes to ST they fall on their face. Paladins are weak when it comes to raid healing but shine at tank healing. Everything is viable.

that said though, the main specs like frost mage, destro lock, fury warr, mm hunter, prot warr, every healer spec, rogue are still what you'll see the most of

and plenty are still unplayable because of mana issues, not enough gear existing, or just not enough damage like ele, ret, or arcane

I'm I wouldn't really play a vanilla private, but you do have to remember that naxx patch was a lot closer to how wow was in BC than accurately capturing vanilla

I used my WoD and Legion boost on some characters, but I don't exactly remember how I did it back then.

Now that I would like to reroll to another class for raiding and arenas I'll be buying a character boost from the store.

I wonder though, do I first have to create a character, log in on it and do the starter zone quest THEN use the boost?
Or can I just create a character, not even log in on it, and use the boost on it right away?

Or is there some other way it's supposed to be done? Thanks in advance, looking forward to answer(s).

Rogue questline is fun, you get to see a lot of cool shit, only bad part was me picking assassin and not realizing that poison/bleeds don't affect some old bosses that I farm and Greymane being kind of a secondary character that you don't talk to much, I love to do shit with NPCs that are alliance aligned that aren't trying to murder me.
I wish monk questline was as good, as a Monk you get 3~4 literally who champions and there's no interesting reveal like Kearne being dead like in the rogue questline.
only part that would be cool about monk questline Vrykul might also have traditions that resemble monk traditions, so while we learn the Pandaren way while training, that's not the only way isn't very explored and is just a device to get the last champion
