I hope that meme build isn't BF because Varunastra is a deceptively poor choice for the skill. Its price is a direct correlation of how many people choose to run Perandus on their maps (you can also technically obtain it from div cards but I consider that source so rare it might as well not exist), which was made less attractive in 2.5 for several reasons: can now find unique maps without unlocking them first, Beyond has obvious synergy with Breach, etc. Basically too few people run Perandus which makes gold coins rarer which makes Perandus stuff rarer and more expensive.

I think the best possible outcome is it gets to be a permanent map affix like Beyond is, plus occasionally being able to Zana mod it on. It's too much free loot for them to just make it go everywhere, plus they just added essence to the leveling core game, so we've probably got another league or two before we get another permanent mechanic like that.

Overlevel in Dried Lake, avoid the telegraphed attacks for Daresso/Kaom/Malachai. There isn't much to it, if you're not rushing like a bullheaded idiot your life should never drop below 50% for that level of content. Daresso is probably the most punishing out of 3 mentioned above for characters with low/no armour and poor mobility.

90% of the profit comes from getting meta helmet enchants. A flameblast radius enchant is worth 2ex for a fast sell.
9% is the gems from the ending chests. 15+ quality gems are worth a decent bit.
The remaining 1% is random good drops that would be your only profit in any other map, but with some other good shit in the pool like Death's Dance.

Also you can charge people for carries, have them give you the offering to get in, and STILL take all the loot.

Lab uniques can also be worth quite a while. Days with intricate locker will guarantee one. Death's Door in particular is popular because it's really good, especially in this league where there are lot of bleeding sources. If you're going to spend your time in lab, you might as well have a dedicated runner or a build that can handle 3-4 key runs.

I have no special input since I know nothing about wanders, but skipping 2-point jewel slots or the Ranger starting 16% proj damage node is slightly triggering. You also probably want accuracy (Depth Perception for example) over going all the way to Witch for 20% life and a power charge.

when im playing poe i shift between two different mindsets

one is the usual mathematical "grindy" approach, where my character is just a build, with random stat sticks, mobs are exp bubbles that can "drop" more stat sticks, maps are just instance-boxes. Very abstract and very boring.

the other is "immersive". My character is a brave warrior who tears apart hordes of monsters, or burns them with fire and ice, turning them into ash and dust, mobs are an evil force that my character must defeat at any cost, and so i jump into them and slaughter them as best as i can. Almost like roleplaying

now this isnt even debatable, HC absolutely isnt fit for the second approach, while SC is a bit better, but still not ideal, because SC in poe is absolutely uncreatively dumb "respawn at checkpoint". Not even a corpse run, nothing, not even a "Retry" but just "Continue". It has to have some impact, but permadeath is not the way. Exp reduction might seem like a big deal if you are aiming for 90+, but in reality it doesnt feel that impactful

It's absolutely possible to approach HC with the second mindset, not sure what you ascribe some magical quality to SC as if the same can't be done in HC. The "roleplaying" part doesn't exclude smart risk vs reward strategy, just like you wouldn't fight an angry fire dragon (boss damage) with boots of slowness (temp chains) and being doused in inflammable oil (-12% max fire resist), you don't run stupidly stacked maps in HC but you can still very much play aggressively and enjoy a visceral gameplay. Play melee without "cheap" gimmicks like Blasphemy Temp Chains or CWDT IC and you'll find the game has plenty to offer in the "immersion" part.

Just keep at it. Getting good at farming currency & trading takes time to learn. Save up for a very solid 40/45c+ chest with near 600ES I'd say.

I love turn-based roguelikes and even singleplayer hardcore diablo 2 but on in the context of an online arpg where content is primarily loaded into the endgame patch after patch and getting the most out of the massive skill tree requires reaching 90+, it is a crap mode. And indeed, not even really hardcore since you don't lose your character anyway, which since it's a single player game anyway, is only a perceived loss unless you were pushing high on the ladder which no on who drones on about shitcrows here does.

I just do not understand.

How does cyclone sustain mana.

I looked through the ladder, tons of slayers, assassins and raiders going cyclone and all most of them have is a single jewel with +2 mana gained on hit.

None of them have a mana flask, mana leech or items with manaleech.

My 67 Raider literally can only sustain a 4l cyclone on ~3+ mobs with a +2 mana gained jewel, but immediately goes out of mana on singletarget or just 2 mobs.

How do they do it? And HOW THE FUCK do they kill bosses?

Armor gives flat % phys reduce. it gives diminishing returns so that you need 1 billion armor to get to 100% phys reduction
Armor reduces attack speed by a %

Strength gives more heatlh per x points and reduces attack speed penalty
Dexterity increases attack speed and armor in a small amount

Endurance charges give + global defenses% instead of flat damage reduction

Vaal pact removed
Life leech nodes and item mods severely reduced so that if you want to lifeleech you have to spec into it

re-balance the tree to adjust the changes

There no more 1 shot mechanic to make people die
