Do they need to eat or drink? I've checked around the net but have yet to find a clear answer. I mean, it seems like there is evidence supporting that they do but I dunno.

Also, is being killed generally seen as something to be avoided? Like, they're immortal so it would seem like its not a big deal, buuut I wonder if the reforming process is painful/humiliating/weakens them/robs them of their memories like reincarnation.

Dremora have a way of dying which is being sent into outer Oblivion, but they rebuild themselves and return which robs them of their memories and is painful, someone went over this in Battlespire but I don't remember who. I guess all the other Dremora laugh at you and call you a loser if you die normally, but there doesn't seem to be any actual negative effect.

Reminder to carry Black Soul gems and Azura's star so you can soul trap all Dremora you come across. If you kill them the normal way they just go home, atleast this way you fuck them over in death, too.

The SSE binary is totally new, so they're basically starting from scratch, just like with F4SE. Fo4 came out over a year ago, and look at the state that F4SE is only in atm.

Also, he's most likely dead, and even if he isn't he's stopped appearing entirely since Morrowind and the destruction of Red Mountain. The Dunmer have seen how shitty their living gods were, and the fact that said gods abandoned them, and so the Tribunal Temple is now long dead and they instead have gone back to worshiping their ancestors and the Anticipations.

What the fuck is up with immersive college of winterhold lol? Some unfitting door to midden, where lighting is fucked in the very first room, also you can stand in hall of contenance on that pillar of light, find it's highest point (near the fence or closer to centre), and jump repeatedly to switch lights on and off, or more like between floors.

Fuck the lighting though, it's not really important, I don't understand what's happening with ineed though. My load order seems to be alright, ineed doesn't even conflict with anything to begin with, but harmful raw meat setting either does absolutely nothing, or doesn't update tooltips of said raw meat to reflect changes, depending on whether I put ineed high or low in load order. I don't even know what might be wrong, I don't have anything else installed that interacts with my food, just that base surv setup of frostfall+campfire+ineed which was working fine on my other profiles (and still does). I even deactivated all newly added plugins (mostly various spellpacks and stuff), still can't find anything. Really need help on this one.

I downloaded MGE but it comes with no FAQ, wiki's dead and even if I installed it and configured (works because I got my native widescreen resolution) stuff my draw distance is still shit. Any tips?

Tried RS with patch, just had to disable legendary installation of it and customly enable each dlc so that it would install every esp separately and ICW's patch would find it's master and work. Lighting is still fucked. I suspect it's the way that hall works, if anyone curious they can walk in there and notice how light works only on 1 floor at a time, you can see it clearly even without jumping bullshit if you stand at second floor and look in the well - it's dark down there, and when you jump in it lights suddenly turn on. In Battlespire, you arrive at a great hunt where you're the prey on a boat that you take out of the Soul Cairn. There are Frost Daedra here. Earlier you had confounded their plans, and they're now stuck performing a subservient role within the hunt, which is flushing out the prey for the hunters. You can talk to one of them, and they'll lament that it's unlawful and that they should not be blamed. I don't remember it word for word, but it comes off as being childish and selfish. Immediately you have a grasp of the personality of this Frost Daedra. He's shouting at you "Oh, it's UNLAWFUL!", and that's great. He'll also let you go argue his case for the Seducer who announced the Hunt to you, showing naivety and stupidity, even though you can't and he'll attack you anyway because lolBattlepsire. I haven't played Battlespire in forever, and I still remember the gist of what he says. Hey so I tried using ELFX with Alternate Start, and you know that locked cell door in AS? Well, it's doing some weird thing where everything beyond that is invisible and untextured. But only as long as you're in the cell; I used noclip to go through the door (I broke my lockpicks trying to pick the lock), and once you do that, that area loads, but the cell unloads and becomes invisible. It seems to have started after I installed ELFX.

Is this a conflict or did I fuck something up? If so, what could it be?

SKSE includes many functions that aren't available in vanilla modding. One major example of this is the MCM menu (which uses SKSE), without SKSE, we have no MOD menu basically, which nearly all mods use these days. The mods being made are being 'altered' with a nasty configuration menu system which many modder's won't go through the trouble of doing or their mods simply don't require a menu to begin with, they'd rather wait for SKSE and then easily port their mods.

This is just one example, but many mods use SKSE and the library that it offers which isn't available otherwise. A crafty modder could work around this, but it's work that's required that otherwise won't be needed once SKSE comes out.

You're in luck. Skyrim has like a dozen or more combat mods, being a very combat-heavy game with absolutely garbage combat.

The best by far would be Ultimate Combat, or maybe Deadly Combat, but those are both script-heavy and can cause problems if you're on a low-end computer or have a lot of other script mods, and also have compatibility issues. If you don't think that'll be a problem, then I'd go with Ultimate Combat+Ultimate Dragons. It's great.

If you're looking for something a bit lighter, I'd recommend Vigor and Combat Evolved. Vigor is script-light and CE is script-free, and both are designed with performance and compatibility in mind, while still being robust. They improve AI and combat mechanics, but in different ways.

Vigor focuses on strategic, reactive combat, planning your moves and managing your stamina. Stamina's important in vigor, and it really punishes careless and fighting when low on Stamina. It has sort of a Dark Souls-like poise system that ties into health and stamina, plus you move and swing slower when you're low on stamina, it's harder to block, you do less damage and take more damage. Blocking works by doing the damage that would be done to your heath to your stamina instead. The NPCs are aggressive, will dodge clumsy power-attacks, and will get more aggressive if you trying just turtling behind your shield. It also has an injury and trauma system (you can get body parts injured or broken, debilitating you in different ways), but you can turn that off.

It also make armor very important - armor weight effects your poise, and fighting heavily-armored opponents in light armor is basically a death sentence. I use Vigor, personally.

I haven't used CE, but from what I understand it focuses on quick, kill-fast-die-fast combat.

I've had ELFX conflict with SMIM and make bits of the Winking Skeever and a dungeon in Solstheim go missing, but never had any problems with LAL

It makes it so that vanilla orcs have standalone mesh and texture directories as well as overhauls a few female orc NPCs, which you can ignore if you really want to. Just replace the meshes and textures with whatever.

Moving LAL ahead of ELFX fixed the problem. It seems to have made ELFX's lighting no longer affect the LAL prison but I'm fine with that. Really weird that that would happen, though.

So I want to finish playing through the main quest (my previous attempts ended due to mods and shit before I could) but I don't want to fucking trudge through the opening part again. I can't fucking stand the idea of trudging through that shit again. After playing Alternate Start I don't think I can go back.

Anyway, how would I (RP-wise) be able to justify doing the main quest shit if my character wasn't at Helgen, wasn't almost beheaded, wasn't attacked/saved by a dragon, and probably wasn't pointed to Whiterun?

I really don't fucking want to go through that intro bullshit again. I can't fucking stand the thought. But I want to RP and I want to finish the main quest.

Noodling is a fishing technique where fishers catch fish by using their arms as bait and pulling when they are bit. Mod scrub here. I just read the guide have some questions.

When I unzip the .esp and .bsl files in a given mod to my DATA folder, do I need to unzip all the other various folders in the mod along with it? I noticed in the picture that the data folder represented in the guide ONLY has .esp and .bsl files despite most mods having a host of other folders that include ini editing text files, utilities, readme's, etc.

I downloaded some fire enhancement, Better Magic, better texture mods, SMIM, etc. Things of that nature. The flame seems to only be present now in first person, and it appears to be the flame from my left hand when I have a fire spell equipped. I have no clue how to fix this.
