What they do is place you in a watchlist, to see if they can catch you doing any of the more serious shit like uploading content yourself or going after people in real life. I prefer CoT personally because it's more realistic, and it's compatible with Realistic Lighting Overhaul. Vivid does arguably look better, but I wouldn't say it's realistic.

CoT tries to do too much and ends up being just plain ugly most times. Tons of unnecessary weathers that barely look different too. VW is a little better in that regard but still looks off at times. Most importantly, they'll make just about any ENB look awful, unless of course the ENB preset was designed specifically for that weather mod which usually is never a good thing either.

tl;dr vanilla is best because it does the least things wrong

Thanks. I actually only just installed CoT yesterday and was debating whether to go with it or Vanilla. I do like how dark it makes night and the interiors, but other than that it doesn't seem to do much - or at least nothing RLO doesn't do just as well. I haven't seen any of the new weathers, but I did have a hard time imagining how different it could really make the weather.

Thanks for justifying my original plan to just go with RLO (I'm not confident enough in my GPU to use an ENB - actually that's why I originally just went with RLO, and then later CoT+RLO, in the first place, since both of those seem pretty easy on performance).

Might be worth your while to try some of the "shit" rated ENB presets on tesgeneral.com (even if you end up playing with the visual effect off, you should still use ENB for its stability improvements). You'd be surprised how little demanding some of them are.

I don't know why I default to Orc in every TES game that's had them since Morrowind, but for some reason I always main that race.

I'm not really sure why as I generally dislike their lore and behavior in comparison to Orcs from most other settings -- noble savage is a bit played out even if the story of how their race came to be is fairly original. Maybe it's the appeal of the "pariah pig children" mantling the heroes of men and mer that consider themselves superior to those they won't even recognize as kin or neighbors. Maybe I just like playing beefy green beastmen and women.

Well, anyway, at least they're better than WoW Orcs.

I loved Orcs in Warcraft 1 and 2, but 3 is when they started to grate on me. They were still cool but Thrall struck me as a bit of a nonce -- Grom should have been in charge.

Fantasy Battle and 40k Orcs/Orks are amazing. LotR Orcs when expanded upon were cool.

Generally I can't think of a single setting that has Orcs I really dislike, even the overtly pretty ones from Lineage have their appeal.

I think something a lot of people don't realize is just how violent and warlike Bretons are.

High Rock has basically always been divided into numerous petty warring feudal states and literally the only time they stop trying to kill either each other or the also very warlike Redguard states of Hammerfell is when the Orcs decide to try building something, or when they have some higher power like the Empire to enforce order. Breton and Redguard cultures are incredibly violent and warlike; I can't think of any other non-Daedra who seem to love fighting more than they do.

I updated to the newest version of frostfall from 3.0.1 I think, and there's no menu for frostfall in the mod config menu. Anyone else have this problem?
