Hardcore is funnish if you play the game as a roguelike, but the whole "fun" aspect goes out the window when you're doing stuff like mapping on your Hardcore character.

Plus, Hardcore is fucking garbage when it comes to actual build diversity and build power. You just sort of plink around for a few hours, finally start to build up a head of steam, and then die to some random nonsense and start over again at the boring part.

But if you don't go Scion for the combo of Gladiator/Guardian, you can't get block capped on tree/shield alone using The Surrender, the highest you can get is 70%

So is 70% block/spell block better or worse than 75% block 60% spell block (assuming you use a Stone of Lazwhar). You could also use the Anvil for 78% block/23% spell block plus more life on block.

Summoner is pretty fun in breaches, you can summon so much shit before you open the breach anything nearby instantly dies.

Then you can go around cleaning it up picking up the hands & stand outside the circle and summon shit into the breach if you're in trouble but want a bit extra loot.

Only have trouble with the huge freeze breaches that just fucking swarm you with freeze & that huge AoE, not sure what you can even do against it other than run away, all your summons die so fast and the boss just chills surrounded in mobs and AoE spells.

Every other breach is ez loot though

You're a retard. The beam puts a DoT on mobs, so you're basically just sweeping it across packs because one stack is enough to kill whites, maybe a second sweep for blues but usually not necessary. When a rare comes along, you focus it for maybe half a second. Bosses get melted like nothing else.

Any experienced spectre users know what a decent level is for Clarity to maximize the mana regen effect, specifically for Knitted Horrors? Even with all of the -mana reserve slots, I don't have enough to reserve all the auras I want with maxed Clarity, but I don't know that that is necessary to begin with, I think I heard at some point that level 6 Clarity was fine.

Think about it: you don't need much to get started, merely a 6s staff and some ES gear, right? Wrong.

You need INT everywhere to scale your offense AND you defense. Buying generic ES gear will not cut it. You don't have a shield or even a quiver, so your ES is lower than most CI builds. Occultist or Trickster are dumb options, so you get even lower ES.

It's one of those builds that are extremely good when maxed out and extremely underwhelming with mediocre gear.

CI is a good option for many characters who don't have access to a lot of life nodes along their pathing.
