A3S was a good fight, but tuned a bit too tightly for most groups. It led to one of two situations for most groups. You could either, ditch your friends in the name of progress, or you could bash your head against the wall with your friends for weeks and hope they got better. It objectively destroyed the raiding communities on many servers. It could have been tuned to be a fair bit more forgiving but still have been difficult enough to please the autists.
