Finally maxed Exdeath so my main party is done, but I have a ton of gigantuars left because the event only just got farmable for me

Are there any good 6*s coming up? I've got a 5* Chizuru and 3* Hayate and Charlotte, but I don't know if their 6*s are good. Should I just start working on another Exdeath?

Personally I'll prioritize him, to hell with donuts. Plus he's that much better than her anyway - especially if you go for a second Exdeath. That'd be nice, but depends what else you have.

Charlotte and Hayate JUST came out in JP, they're no less than 6 months away if not more.

If you can do Elite with 5 bonus units, then it'll probably be better than Pro with 6.

Pro: Avg. 167~ per run, 5 Sazh + 1 Lightning Friend = 350% bonus = 750~ gears for 10 energy, or 75 gears per energy.

Elite: Avg 218~ per run, 4 Sazh + 1 Lightning Friend = 300% bonus = 872~ per run for 13 energy = 67.1 gears per energy.

Then consider the increased change of Metal Gigantuars in Elite over Pro (Elite Gigantuars also provide 100 more gears than Pro). There's also the Crystals and Magicite.

In any case, for consistency's sake, Pro will have the better rate with a full party of bonus units and is easier on those who can't do Elite effectively.

A 6% chance for a 550 Gigantuar means an average of 33 base gears per run on Elite, and at 3% chance of 450 Gigantuar is 13.5 base gears per run on Pro. Your luck can be better or worse here.

Would leave it up to you, with Magicite and Crystals factoring in, Elite is probably better for you. For most, Pro is the easy option.

He was there to ask the obvious questions like who is who, what’s going on what, what is that etc. The main story characters are Ashe and Basch because they're at the center of the what's happening (They are all more or less main characters to me though) but Vaan is the player character, its him you follow from start to end even though he is just along for the ride until the end where he gets his own airship to join Balthier and Fran with Penelo. So he's a proxy, but by definition still the 'main' character for the little influence he actually has. Also, you can see Balthier's influence on him in Dissidia when he's saying "I’m the leading man."

Reddas nuked Nabudis with nethicite and saved the day at the end. He did more to advance the plot than any character, given that he destroyed the sun cryst.

Actually, you need literally only two TMs to make TMR farming more efficient, and if you have bad luck with gigantuars, even 1 will do. At 65 gears/energy it takes a little over 1k energy to get the 70k moogle.

That 1k energy could be spent on TMR farming to give that same 10% to 5 different units

You're not thinking about this right, all TMRs aren't weighted equally.

NRG spent toward Dual Wield is worth many times more than NRG spent toward anything else. NRG spent toward 2nd and 3rd DWs is also worth more, but not quite as much as the first.

So the NRG spent getting the moogle is more worth it than NRG spent in earth shrine, assuming you don't have unlimited access to zidanes and gilgameshes.

He has one of the highest HP pools in the game (but only "okay" defenses), but he's great ant generating LB and he can work well in a physical nuke team (dat 50% party ATK boost)
He's great for fights with multihit enemies (counter procs each time). Would've been AMAZING on maxwell. Still finds uses in JP to this day, although they're ever nicher.

Remember, he was basically the first real 6* "tank" in the game, so it was a little awkward. We're getting him two months later than normal.
