Just recovered WoW again after 3 years.

However im in Aus and the aus servers are dead and walking around stormwind seeing like 5 people there after playing in BC and Lich and having lag due to the amount of people in the cities, the juxtaposition will just make me sad because of nostalgia so i think i have to play on US severs but that will give me like 130ms ping and i'm not sure if thats fast enough for me to enjoy the game

You should leave that guild, if you can find a better one on your server that fits how much you can play.
However, if you want to stay on the guild, the only realistic path to upgrade gear is going to be improving your Arcway ring and Karazhan trinket. I'd recommend rushing for pvp RIGHT NOW if you want 3v3/RBG mount (season ends in less than a week), or just go alt leveling, but don't bother farming too much AP or AK on them, you'll get those for FREE in 7.1.5.
