When should you worry about melding materia on your gear. Right now I just bought my first ilvl 260 gear

when you're not meeting accuracy cap then you just buy materia IVs. Otherwise don't worry too much about it until you get a best in slot piece.

I would meld if the fights are cutting it too close, really depends on your group or not. If you can afford it though then I'd highly suggest just melding materia IVs on it.

The only relevant boss mechanic in PotD 51-90 is the Behemoth boss on floor 80. When he uses Charybdis, it puts a tornado on the ground that has an AoE pulse around it that inflicts a DoT that will almost definitely kill you. But the size of the AoE on those pulses is way bigger than the visible tornado, so you have to stay far, far away from it, and not just "not touching" the original tornado AoE.

Then on Floor 100, it's helpful to know to save a Pomander of Resolution for the last boss, because the Kuribu AoE will one-shot the boss's adds, and destroy the adds' corpses so they don't respawn.

Other than that it's all pretty much "dodge AoEs, kill adds" all the way through 100.

It looks good, I've seen it dyed metallic silver and really makes the armor stand-out. Regardless, being able to mix-match with colors really give you greater liberty with piece-swapping.

The left matches as it's part of the set and the right doesn't look right. The DRK AF set is really spiny and edgy, where as those boots are more clean and suit a short plate chest as opposed to a long one.

To be honest I hate the DRK afk pants and boots as they make legs look really skinny and awkward, but it's a hard set to match.
