I think edge is okay, as long as its played for laughs or subtlety. I have two problems with Calin's (hey, did you change his name?) kit, if you care for my opinion.

1. I really think there's too much going on in his passive. It has like eight different effects all happening at once. But it's just personal opinion -- I prefer more simple kits.

2. I like flavor in abilities, and you achieved that. /But/, I used to do the same thing, where I put a lot of details in my champions' abilities, which made them seem bigger than they actually are. For example, Calin's "Parting the Stream," at first I thought it was a big and fancy ability, until I realized that, really, it's just "Calin, after a short delay, dashes forward, dealing magic damage to enemies increasing based on their missing health. Stops at the first enemy hit." So, really, it's actually a simple ability, but since you added in a lot of flavor text, it makes it confusing.

If you're writing Calin purely for storytelling purposes, then having flavorful text achieves that purpose.

In any case, take my opinions for a grain of salt.
