And Marr outright states with Mortis that before all this the only person they answer to is the Emperor himself. The Hand are just extensions of the Emperor and not rulers and are a covert group of Sith and non-Sith agents. The Wrath is just an executioner.

Consuming is different from subduing. What the Inquisitor does is he literally binds and enslaves these ghosts to do his bidding, which is far more difficult and challenging than just 'lol i kill u and steal ur life essence xD'
It is not the ghosts themselves which gives the Inquisitor his power. It is the fact that the Inquisitor can subdue and bind so many powerful force ghosts at once which demonstrates his power. Any lesser sith would have gone insane or died from that much punishment.

Guardian's resource system is really horrible for early game. Then you have choice from sage or shadow. Sage is ranged force caster with lot of channeled abilities and shadow is melee ranged instant abilities with a mix of melee and force abilities.

To me shadows (more accurately assassin because empire is better) are more fun with up close and personal style and lack of channeled skills making it more active.

The Force-Ghosts are fully sealed under the Inquisitor's control after their body is repaired by the Mother Machine on Belsavis and the mind-walk ritual with the Voss Mystics/Healers on Voss is done where you completely make them unable to do anything except power from them WHEN you want to.

There is no indication during the second or third fight of using their power to fight Thanaton. And they are not summoned until the SI actively uses them to blast Thanaton. They can't do the same shit post-Act II.

Occham's Razor would also not support your dumb claim.
