And here's something I personally find people seem to overappreciate a bit in this game: Base conversations.

While it's all well and good to prevent players from encountering stumbling blocks on how to recruit certain units (i.e. having no idea how to obtain any of the units Caeda can recruit beyond stumbling upon a yellow Talk square), most of the stuff these conversations cover is rather obvious - and in some cases, already covered by the dialogue in the chapters.

Then there's situations like pic related, where the game just cuts out dialogue that was already in the level and moves it to the base conversations:

Another change from FE3 is in how houses worked.

In Book 2, houses could have one of three themes, varying on the tone of the conversation. One of which was Sad Villager, which FE11 turned into The People's Lament and used at the village where you're briefed about Lena in Chapter 2. While they both communicate a somber tone pretty well, I still end up preferring FE3's version.
