1, the guild is dying. ;_;
we lost Nainsell, he unsubbed and falaa who is our highest dps and raid leader wishes to unsub due to cancer which is very upsetting.
i mentioned just splitting up and people finding their own raids and everyone wanted to, nobody wants to stick together. we are actively seeking to replace a dps and a tank and might have to replace /wowg/ members with normal fags. people had asked me to in mumble, and i agree with it and it's a good idea.

as for the whole "muh circlejerk of raiders" that has some truth to it. the guild is very much active in the members that it has, but a lot of people don't talk in guild chat. i've personally messaged people to join us in mumble but people are all oh muh social anxiety. So we have created a group of 10-15 people who are alloud to raid. i've been trying to do a group 2 but not everyone in the first group has alts for it, so at the moment have to let people from the RIPIP in. ;_;

What's the deal with the current prestige rewards, with Season 2 coming soon?

Wowhead says that there's different honor mount rewards for each season, implying the current one will rotate out in a few weeks. But I've also seen it suggested that they'll stay and the new mounts will just be at higher prestiges (like the current one is prestige 4, the next would be 8).

tl;dr are current prestige rewards going? Should I farm honor before the new season starts in 10 days?

ele is really fun if you're properly using clearcasting to buff your shocks, but has strict gearing reqs cause both vers and mastery suck heinous amounts and you still do very low ST damage after the first minute of the fight when your fire ele despawns

enhance is also fun to play, probably has a cooler single targ rotation too, and is super-super fotm in pve and pvp atm and does great damage, and although crit isn't great, it's nowhere near as bad as ele mastery

The point was though players feel entitled to having over geared party members and blizzard can't really do anything about that, but give players more way to get gear. which just seems unhealthy so many ways to get gear this xpac, ilv really doesn't mean anything it's not so much a reflection of skill as a reflection of how lucky you were on an item drop.

People have always been asking for insane gear requirements for pugs to make up for the insanely retarded people you can end up pulling out of trade. Secondly, the only entitled person here is you. Take those 10 minutes you're wasting getting declined in group finder, and instead use that time to form your own group the way you want it. Fill it with a bunch of 880s if you want, they WILL come. By the end or middle or even slightly after launch if you're trying to do PUG raids, most people are going to outgear you and it's going to be difficult to find a group because of it

I wish MMOs would move back to creating a sense of "self" within an interesting and exciting fantasy world instead of the garbage it is now

I want an MMO where your character very much reflects the kind of player you are and the kind of playstyle you gravitate to, where it's flexible enough that you can use what weapons or skills or whatever you want if you invest enough time into it or work hard enough towards it

Obviously the longer you played and the more you dedicated to the game the stronger you would become, but that's only expected. You wouldn't be able to create alts easily, but I'd argue that's for the good of the game. You become much more invested in building your character and are more aware of the player you are deep down on the inside. If you want to be versatile you actively choose to be less proficient some areas, and if you dedicate yourself completely to one aspect of the game you eventually hit a breakpoint where you become somewhat dependent on other players to fill the gaps where you're lacking

Players that casually just level professions or do autistic extra-curricular activities might get exclusive rewards or buffs or consumables that they can sell to hardcore raiders, and in turn they can only acquire rare materials from high level content, or are hidden in obscure zones or restricted to certain gatherers or something

Maybe some professions can double as a sort of combat offspec, where a powerful sorcerer can use his alchemy knowledge to throw volatile concoctions, or a might warrior can ride his horse into battle if he has a high enough riding level

I've been wanting to do something like this, but for single player because the market for MMOs is fucking garbage.

A western-style RPG that, after developing a fun and complex core gameplay, focuses itself on versatility and insane attention to detail in interactions. Then load it with interesting and unique weapons, magical items and playstyles in a nice big world that's indifferent to the player being the main character. It tries to be as realistic about fighting styles and weaponry as possible.

Dark Souls is the closest I've played, but even though it's fun it's not really what I'm thinking of.
