Haru's one of the ones that most clearly tries to reach out to him in his last scene (she says she won't forgive him for what happened to her father, but it's not as if she doesn't understand the feeling of wanting to triumph over an adult who snatched things away from you, tells him it's not too late and asks him to reform Shidou together with them, and is the first to react when the group hears Goro about to confront his doppelganger behind the shutter). In the chat following that, she says what happened to him is dreary, and notes that to be honest, she has mixed feelings but thinks that he's a victim too.

Ship art for them ranges from fluffy to darker because people draw whatever they feel like, whether it adds up with what we see in canon or not. Don't take it too seriously.

Shidou's palace sank and exploded at the same time. They did check where they would come out to see if Goro's corpse or any other trace of him was expelled but nothing was there.

There wasn't really anything more they could do though. You can return to an area in the other world once it goes away when you take the treasure and even if they could they'd have to search in a flooded city for it which wasn't really possible.

It's possible he somehow survived using Loki (which would explain why Futaba couldn't sense him) and was flung out of the palace by the explosions like Ryuji later on, or that Yaldabaoth interfered, or something like that.
