He isn't consistent, but a lot of fun. Watching people struggle and bend over backwards to kill him is fun when you have a Rise of the Dead in hand and can just bring him back the next turn. I believe people run 2, but I get away with just one because I abuse RotD and Ceridwen a lot. Also LotF is a very good combination with a buffed Death's Breath

I tried it out and it runs really well.

Just liquified all the cards I have animated ones of and have about 15k vials. Should I make a more expensive top tier deck or just save it all for the expansion? I've made it to b3 in a little over a month with cheap decks like aggro blood and banner sword.

I feel as though people are really missing the point of Lord of the Flies. I mean yeah he's likely to die the next turn, but that applies to most creatures in the game, especially big ones. Furthermore LotF's effect means that he's almost guaranteed to go 241 which is a pretty big deal late in the game when cards are running low. If he survives more than 1 turn he'll probably outright win the game on his own, and if a LotF roll cost you a game then that was a game you probably weren't going to win anyway.

Just started this game.

I'm used to Mobages and shit where its necessary to reroll to get a good start or else it becomes painful. I read the guide on rerolling and I can't tell if I need to reroll unless I fulfill their requirements (like 3 fortes or 2 ancient elves etc). The Legendaries you rolled, outside of Mythril Golem, are solid but 4 is lower than what you generally want to get (around 6). It doesn't help that Dragon requires two more Forte and both Forest and Sword (at least the build with Alexander) requires a lot more Legendaries.

Personally, I would reroll. 3 of your 4 Legendaries are good but you won't be using 2 of them for quite some time.

PtP Forest has 3 win conditions in one deck: you have the tempo beatdown plan, the grindy PtP control plan, and the roach/ptp combo plan. And these win conditions can all either synergize or hurt each other; for instance, if you go for the beatdown plan then you'll have a harder time pulling off big combos or playing control, but at the same time you can use a roach combo to finish the game after you've been beating them down. And often times you grind someone out, slam down a PtP, then hit them with a roach combo at the same time.
Not only that, but just mechanically Forest is a more interesting class than Shadow. Playing around with bounces and the fact that fairies can be used as both a resource to activate other cards or bodies on the board but not both at once means there's a lot of decision making involved and there are many ways to play out turns differently.
It's one think to hate PtP, but to claim PtP decks are more straightforward than your average Shadow deck is ridiculous. Shadow is an incredibly straightforward class. I'm not saying that's good or bad, that's just how it is. Like you said it's a midrange value class; even Tyrant combo decks are very curve out and win. The trickiest card Shadow has is Phantom Howl.

Bullying elves with Deathmist is fun. Fairies get shat on and anything that survives gets Sieg'd.

PtP is a card that any class can use. You like PtP Elf. PtP Elf works because Elf is overtuned and the mere fact that its tokens go to hand and grave rather than being exiled is the entire reason why PtP Forest is even possible. Even then Tempo Forest is far more interesting than the PtP variant because in the end you're playing towards a specific wincon.

Shadow can play aggro, midrange, or control, and the way the class functions (along with Shadow having a glut of good 3 drops and cards like Cerberus) gives you tools to make weird trades or pull unorthodox techs that other classes just can't do. Why do you think Shadow lists are so varied even within specific deck types? Is Shadow particularly strong? Not terribly so, and it's unfortunate. But it's very fun and offers things for me that other classes just don't. Hell even Aggro can turn on the Control switch on the fly when it needs to.

I think it has its place. Its definitely too strong as it exists atm though. Cards like Forte being able to do 7 face dmg from hand on their own is op. Any class can make weird trades or do unorthodox tech. Multiple classes have an aggro, midrange, and control build, and some of them actually gave viable decks in all three like Sword and Haven. Decks have to switch to different playstyles in bizarre circumstances all the time, fucking hell I once beat down a face dragon player so hard he had to use Fortes to trade as fucking non-hybrid Seraph. None of that shit is exclusive to Shadow, that's just how card games work.

I honestly don't have much issue with PtP. That's the weird thing about this game in general, for the most part nothing in the game actually bothers me that much and I find it very pleasant to play. This started because people keep getting upset about Shadow not being able to use PtP without really considering that it's for a very legitimate reason. At this point all we need is a bigger card pool and for Cygames to attempt to do more things with Necromancy, or even making PtP Shadow possible with a better and more consistent card draw and shadow engine. Also again, PtP is a CARD, not a deck. If anything it's sad that PtP is so synonymous with Elf rather than Shadow not really having much use for PtP

It's a little annoying because health is so low and healing is extremely limited.

You pretty much can't go a turn without completely clearing your opponents board or else you lose against a lot of the aggro decks.

I've lost games as dragon just because I ramped on turn 2 instead of dropping a minion and literally couldn't stop the swarm of minions just charging at my face.

They're pretty much dead-set on making games end by turn 8 or 9, the aggro face decks are just too easy to play in shadowverse.

Storm Haven is op solely because of Garuda and Aria. Other than those two cards, it's basically built around play a card then wait 2+ turns before they actually do anything. Unless I get a good hand for removal of cards like Crafty Lock to prevent the Earth Rites to spawn the match is bound to go on for 8+ turns and the longer the game goes the easier is for the rune to win

People can complain but she comes with a good amount of caveats too.

And like I said above, she is Legendary and is meant to be a strong card that dictates the direction of a deck. As for Storm haven, you forget that they have access to other Haven tools--Hallowed Dogma, which gives them huge amounts of tempo while cycling, Blackened Scripture, and PotC.

Forest is fine with the preparation and low cost cards because their entire DECK is built around that kind of synergy, and as a result the Rhino combo has much more flexibility than any other combo in the game most likely.

Dragon has a lot of superb value cards, most notably Mushussu, Dragon Warrior (almost as good at PotC), and Siegfried, but their decks don't have good synergy. Sure the expansion could give them a lot of good cards but it won't make Forte overpowered.

Motherfucker Cudgel against Swordcraft is a 141 half of the time because they have so many cards that vomit multiple followers simultaneously. Haven has a hard time controlling the board in general against Sword for this very reason. Their creatures take too fucking long to come out and they can't just use removal spells reliably because they're just putting themselves at a disadvantage in the long run.
