Apoc is a good sub but you generally only need one full board changer. He combos nicely with DQXQ, so having dupes isn't really bad. Saria is probably going to be better when she gets an ult (she only combos with Wedding Akechi though).

Wukong is just generally a great sub, like all the Heroes are.

Paimon is a rare GFE, but he can be used on his own or to help fix any boardchange.

Pretty much anything you can do will work to some extent, so just try to get anything from the pool. For reference my team is Myr_[Apoc inherit] / DQXQ / Wukong / Saria / Wedding Akechi

I would inherit a bind cleric on Myr but I'm too lazy to skillup a Fairy Tale girl.

Guys how are you supposed to deal with damage absorbs/shields?

This is the team I run, I know it's not ideal but it definitely does the job. But when I tried my first bit of end game-ish content, machine hera, Sadalmelik's 1mil damage absorb fucked me every time.

I just finished hypermaxing my Grem team, and it's basically set until I decide to buy a Plum, but this past Godfest I rolled Typhon and was thinking about setting her up next since. What's Anaphon's niche like compared to Grem? I friggin love my Camel Jockey, but potentially even MORE tanking ability is pretty tempting.

Also what the fuck, how did Grem drop to A rank on game8? I still think she's as good as if not better than Ronove.

You can use your 9x without heart cross sometimes but it might be too weak here.

Damage absorb is a huge pain in the ass but Ronove can usually handle it though. I think heart cross + 3 3-orb combos would deal less than 1 million per sub. Just don't make prongs and hope that you don't skyfall another match.

Typhon and Ronove don't have to worry about using active skills to deal good damage. That and the much higher HP but lower damage make Typhon feel different.

Ronove deals great damage without needing orb changers or actives to be used and his active skill is outrageous so I agree with the Japanese that he is better but the dark heart-cross leads are great.

In a good or bad way? It seems kind of awful to me. Only two heal orbs is pretty paltry since even using both your actives won't get you a cross if you're completely starved, and most of the time you don't have Jammers/Poison on the board so you're not making green more often than not. Ronove's active might be the best in the game. It looks really bizarre but the cd is only 3 turns and once you use it you see how perfectly it works. You do still need subs with the ability to make more orbs in case you have none but he handles a lot of situations and harder dungeons use more jammer/poison. Game8's Anaphon team template and recommended subs are a little more limited than other leaders, but how's Satsuki/A.Panda/A.Okuni/Gremory? Even though he's not listed, Okuni seems like a pretty great option for her (relatively) lacking damage, even though he's not listed there as a good sub and a quick answer for resolve/predras/panic button. With unbindable leads, Grem mostly as a quick orb changer/board fixer and she's already pentamaxed with SDR.

Really wanna buy a Plum sometime, and Akechi's my white whale, but does that seem decent? I also have UUPanda, a second APanda, and fucking AA Luci from their list if it seems preferable.

Noctis by far. He has much more durability and his subpool is "anything with dongs" pretty much. He can also control his damage decently since you won't get skyfall trolled as much with his orb match restriction.

Sephiroth needs specific subs, most notably either AOku or HAlraune to cover his SBR weakness. Covering Red is surprisingly hard too, since DValk has no SBR. Things like Awoken Panda and Nobunaga can fuck you over color-wise. I use Halloween Vampire.
To top it off, he's almost as glass-cannon as they come, since Devils and Attackers aren't exactly a bountiful font of HP, and he doesn't have a multiplier for it.

Even the absolute rarest and hardest to get collab REM monsters or 6* GFE could be acquired by a non-IAP player if they got incredibly lucky or saved up enough stones. MP stuff used to be legit IAP or bust, but most of those wanted very specific team compositions and the odds of you having their subs as a non-IAP player were generally pretty low (and these days MP is farmable enough that 300k MP monsters are now long term investments rather than "spend tons of money and sell everything".

This is literally "you give us money or you can't get this ever". That's VERY different and I don't like the precedent this sets.
