I know its a speed run guide but its the only build that won't leave you tearing your hair out.

For beyond normal you respec to Frost Orb at some point in Nightmare but I don't really know the specifics of that build. Probably Max Frost Orb then Cold Mastery and then you have to put like 12-15 points in fire wall to get past hell ancients.

What are you playing? Javazon? Its a higher skill cap imo. You have to actually read monster affixes, and know which ones will kill you. Assassin may be a little easier with cloak of shadows and mind blast giving you so much CC. Are you playing something else? If so I wouldn't be doing the pit, there are better options for other classes.

Yeah its the frost Orb build it takes you all the way to Hell Baal which you can kill at level 61. Somewhere around level 80 Blizzard becomes the better build.

I suppose you could opt just to not go to Hell Baal since you ain't gonna farm it anyway, Respec Blizzard at level 24, and go straight to Hell Ancient Tunnels. I mean thats definitely what I would. Actually I would go straight to Hell Chaos and farm Infector's side over and over to get beaucoup XP.

Faith is a ladder only runeword if I remember correctly. You need PlugY to get it in singleplayer. Also, run countess and open lower kurast chests/kurast sewers superchest for the best chance at finding high runes.

Which means what for a hammerdin? The block chance is all that really matters plus the base resist for hdin. Thats why Sacred Targe's are preferred, they have the highest of both without an insane strength requirement. Actually they may have just hands down the highest base block % Im not sure.

The str/dex requirement is higher in a knout so most casters can't use it if they aren't going for max block. Even if that doesn't matter to you that'll probably affect the trade value.

aside from Stealth (which you'de be better off putting in a light armor of some kind, any it doesn't really matter, studded leather imo looks the best though), the rest of it though it looks pretty but it doesn't really offer anything useful.

You would be better off, and trust my on this, shopping for +res boots/gloves/belt from Charsi in A1 NM. Open a cows portal next to here and continually go in and out resetting her items until you find like +30 light res boots, +30 fire res gloves etc. Any combination there of to give you maxed Light/Fire resist for hell. Cold and poison isn't as important, and you can also chug thawing/antidote potions they give you +50 cold/poison resist respecting for 30 seconds and the duration stacks.

The exception is the Lightning Absorb on Blackhorn's Face thats pretty good. If you don't have max Light/Fire resist or something close to it though you may opt for a 2os helm with a Ral/Ort in it.

Knout is ok for a HOTO but Flail is better, less str/dex requirment and it will actually have resale value.

Also you can shop a wand with +20fcr and more +resists from Akara via the same method. As soon as you find a four socket Cystal or Broad sword though you should make another Spirit.

They got mega turbo nerfed after the piercing guided arrow apocalypse and only LF/CS javazons are any good nowdays. Any of the physical skills are a trainwreck because of bad damage and bad attack rating, the fucking bow phys skills even DECREASE your already shitty damage and have NO attack rating. Fire bow skills are a joke. Freezing arrow is decent but you need atleast some gear for that, and it's level 30 so have fun getting there. The poison skills just plain suck cock past the first few acts. The lightning skills are the only actually good ones, but even then you have problems like dogshit cast speed so have fun teleporting and dealing with lightning immunes without infinity merc.

The teleporting gets especially bad because the chances of something interrupting your tps increases massively when the cast speed is so horrible, so it's easy to get fucked if you ever make a bad tele.

One thing I forgot to say about the cast speed, it's pretty bad when you have to cast valks, decoys, slow missiles too. Slow missiles being slow to cast is really fucking bad, because if you're casting it chances are that you really need it.

You should watch a Mrllamasc speed run, or a Teo1904 speed run or a Ryuquetzacotl speed run (he only runs hell hardcore lul) and just emulate what they do when they do it. Its possible to start running through Hell sub level 60 all with self found and shopped gear on any class, even Barb.
And by doing what they do I don't mean have high apm or skill or anything like that I mean like shopping a lower resist wand at level 31, or farming nm countess for an io rune. stuff like that.

Started at maybe 5 in anticipation of the shit, but went to 10 when I couldn't click on the chest.

Luckily I had some incredible item drops on NM, far out of the norm, like I have titans, moser's blessed circle with 2 pdiam, string of ears and a fucking rockstopper. Apparently amazons become unstoppable superjesus tanks when you have 60% block rate and 24% physical resist on top of the dodge skills and positive resists. This hell playthrough is the biggest trainwreck that still remains viable enough to advance through the game.

I have posted a couple of vids here before but this is my magnum opus, if only because I happened, just so happened to find a Shako on the run I recorded. Well I recorded a few others but one was not a sufficiently spooky Chaos and the other two I was connection interrupted before I could finish.

The hardest to find item in this setup is I suppose the Thul rune for Spirit. The shield comes from a3 normal. The Crystal Sword base comes from normal cows. The gloves/belt/boots are shopped from a1 nm. I didn't even take the time to find really good ones. And as you'll see I didn't use any rings or an ammy.

If there is a necro build that gears up + levels up as fast as Paladin I would play it in a heart-beat, no joke because I want the gear and the levels. I have yet to see it though. Every summoner Ive seen play sucks. Maybe it gets better with levels? Who cares, Pallies get insanely better with levels and gear. Sorcs are on par but the gear to make them work is more expensive imo. Pallies need Enigma and thats it Sorcs need Inifity plus, imo Enigma.

Well I don't see how what you 'feel' has to do with the objective, verifiable and repeatable potential of a class. I can show you Blizz sorcs with much the same gear that can clear chaos minus the cold immunes, until they have a merc that meets the gear check but to me Id rather not lose the 100 or so Diablo kills in that time that I could have gotten on the pally.

Volcano, Molten Boulder, your Merc and Wolve/Bear get you around Fire Immuntes, but it's not so straightforward and requires a lot of work, is the thing. The Oak Sage and the Heart of the Wolverine are what you'll use, depending on your spec. They're both great though. And the damage on molten boulder and volcano is a joke, on top of the synergies being all wrong and impossible to set up so the build actually works. Even with maxed boulder and volcano the physical component is garbage especially considering how every monster has 50% phys resist on hell or some shit, compare to wind druid which does literally thousands of phys damage per cast with tornado WITH NO CAST DELAY and you'll still be hammering the fattest enemies for a while with that. Now imagine trying to do hell chaos sanctuary with it's trillion fire immunes with massive hp pools and damage outputs, boulder does nothing and volcano is a single target spell that only works when the target is standing still. It's not even remotely practical and you don't even have to get to hell CS to run into problems.
And that's not even accounting that boulder and volcano are all around shit so you still need fissure, except with fissure 20 boulder 20 volcano 20 you'll have half-synergized skills with already bad damage. And your ultimate skill is shit and to add insult to injury the fissure synergy for armageddon is the bad one that doesn't increase the damage, unlike on the wind side where tornado and hurricane cross-synergize with eachother with different fucking damage types.

The fire druid skills that aren't fissure are just a complete mess.

Someone last thread pointed out, and he has a very good point, because of rifts, you are basically cornered into running only a certain number of builds because those are the few that are "viable" in that they're the only builds you could possibly climb the higher tiers of rifts with, and D3 has become all about those rifts.

Whereas in D2, there's no sort of system like that. The game is all about making a build that can clear Hell and kill effeciently in that hardest difficulty. While every class has one or maybe two specs that can clear it much easier than others, the gear you can find and the way the talent system is set up, allows for more types of builds, which, with enough time and dedication, will be able to clear Hell well enough. This combined with Runewords, trading, etc, makes for a game with longer lasting appeal and one you have more room to play with, as opposed to simply hunting for better rolls of what you already have.

D3 is a good game, it's just that it's a very different game from D2. And is more tedious in design.

Yeah, but the point is through gear and runewords, others become viable as well, capable of clearing the same content that the most viable builds can, just not AS well, but well enough to be viable in it's own right. While that's possible in D3 as well, the rift system essentially shames you for not playing those most viable builds via NEEDING to climb as high as possible for the best possible rewards (Gear, and legendary gem levels, and Paragon experience) which I think is where they really fucked up in D3. As fun as it may be for a time, it does kinda suck.

Skellimancer might be able to if you resurrect the crushing blow brutes, but even then I'm pretty sure Uber meph is the only one you can pull without him spawning all the adds. Once all the adds get spawned in it's pretty much game over for a summoner. I have to admit when I first played D3, finding Leoric's crown super early in D3 while I'm on a quest to find Leroic's crown gave me a good chuckle.
Then I found it two more times before finishing Act 1.

Legendaries were pretty difficult to get at release. Running a bot and getting like 3-4 legendaries per hour was efficient as fuck. Too lazy to get flash drive with screencaps.
Then they had some bonus weekend for double drop rate and when it ended there was a huge fucking riot that the game is unplayable without the buff. They actually applied the bonus permanently. It was all downhill from there.

I've never really been good at D2 but I play it annually. Currently playing as a Fireclaw Druid. Still need to get that Insight Polearm for my Merc.

Depends on what qualifies as viable. Bear necro can clear the game if you get the right items. I think poison dagger necro can do that too. It means they are also viable, right?
