What is the optimal griefing strat now? I used to do Symmetra teleporter over a pit, but that only works about 50% of the time now since people have gotten used to it.

I've been trying Roadhog the Ult Battery, running into the enemy team and healing to help charge the enemy team's ults and give them lots of damage. That seems to work pretty well, but I wonder if there are better strats I hadn't tried yet?

Everything in video games is pandering. I know that you probably know this and everyone who argues otherwise will never realize that if it isn't appealing to some group of people it will never gain traction or popularity. Designers are told the general idea of what a character should look like and just run with it (character design isn't a restrictive domain by any means) while keeping in mind the general function the character's appearance fulfills. It's a very normal part of any industry with this sort of thing in place.

I'm way off topic here but I'm just a bit tired of "It's pandering!!!" getting thrown around everywhere I go. If you don't like something, then just say so and explain why you think it looks bad. Don't throw some kind of moralistic conviction in there when there doesn't need to be.

True, a lot of design is done with a certain audience in mind, and I'm not going to deny that. I just think that it's a little different when you have people outright asking for devs to include certain things in their games - not because it would make them buy the game, because plenty of these people don't either way, but because they think it's "right" and therefore it should be included irrespective of what the devs actually put out. If anyone's trying to claim some kind of bullshit moral high ground, it's certainly not the group Blizzard made Widowmaker for.
