You don't have to do this. You also don't have to restart the chapter if you get ganked at the secret shop. You also don't need to hit end turn a dozen times to wait out the reinforcements.
It sounds like your preferred method of play is tedious and not the reinforcements themselves. If you hate them so much you can look up when and where they spawn and plan accordingly. I know every time I play 6 I get ready to trap Cath in a box before she steals my shit.
