Disclaimer, this deck lacks a million cards I want to put in and is still in brainstorm stage and experimenting vs AI, is the idea behind the deck complete garbage?

I got the idea from seeing a dirt rune PTP deck but since I don't have any altered fates I started thinking of the idea of using arcane englightenment as the discard mechanic

in standard: Wing God, demonic strike, angelic barrage, and execution.

Wind God/demonic strike is used in Aggro and mid range. Angelic barrage is teched against aggo blood and elves. Execution is teched against amulet users. (not cooldown amulets)

in Darkness evolved: Unica, Dance of Death, and Odin.

Unica is used against aggro decks for slower decks. Dance of Death goes with everything. Odin is teched to fuck cooldown amulets.

Most of these are only silver/bronze so you should be able to get them from just opening packs. Don't think you have to craft them all at once.

With this fucking DE event i forgot how good Take Two was.
I barely won this fucking match with a lucky topdeck of an Ironscaled Dragonfolk to damage the enemy's Neptune and finish it off with a Siegfried.
Turn 2 Dragonewt Scholar into turn 3 Wildfang Dragonewt with me having just a fucking Sandstorm Dragon and no way to kill any of these followers on turns 3-4 before i get my evolves.

I am thinking right. Cerdiwen really is great, and while I am not a fan of Midnight Haunt either, a one off copy isn't too bad. Especially in Arena where you may draft some powerful Necromancy cards while possibly lacking in shadow generation.

I'm a forest deck of the nothing I drew from the packs for starting the game and the campaign. I just get spammed with shit and storms that trade for value until I'm dead or turn 9 leo memes. There's fuckall amulet removal, it's almost all lategame and if you get it and don't need it it's a brick or even if it's not you still killed yourself just to get the amulet off the field.

i know you're new so there's not that much you can do about it for now but you're barking up the wrong tree. If you're an aggro deck or a combo deck then leonidas is irrelevant for you and if you're control then you're free to tech in odin or execution to deal with it. Both of those cards are not dead in other matchups and are very viable. As a new player the best thing to do is to just focus on making your deck more efficient before trying to deal with amulets because as you said most other removal options are awful.

I would only think about Execution if I played Midrange or Aggro Necro to get rid of Elana. Even then it's not worth it because you're just teching for one specific deck. Using it on PtP has like no point though because you'll still eat the 6 damage and it can't stop roaches. People only put out PtP without 30 shadows when they have a shit hand or want to use altered fate.

But all crafts have every potential to go 5-0. Some just have generally better cards than others.

A lot of people say Forest is one of the best classes in Arena now which I agree with since they got a good amount of decent cards with DE. A lot of the old golds and legendaries are shit though, so hope you get neutral legendaries and DE golds/legendaries. I don't think it's as consistent as Shadow or Sword but it has more potential.

You're right. It is dumb.
Whenever you play a card, it is summoned with its original stat line. So even if you return a damaged/buffed/evolved follower to your hand, resummoning it will be in its original state.
