I didnt, my opinion is the same with them. SAS got in the game because of operation nimrod (iran embassy) and if they hadnt been included everyone would have complained. JTF is an edgy unknown special unit they included because they look cool.

So, ideas for new gadgets guys?

I was thinking an attacking OP could get a decoy grenade: one that does multiple flashbangs (but arent as blinding) and makes bullet and breahing noises that also cause that enemy fire indicator to appear in the defending team's HUD.

Another idea was for an attacker to get a flare gun that is like a long duration flashbang that blinds operators who look at it (affects attackers and defenders) except for himself because he wears special sunglasses that filter the light out.

I've been thinking about an attacker that has 2x (perhaps 3x?) WP grenades as a gadget. The WP sould block like normal smoke nades and also do damage kinda like Smoke's toxixc babes. The difference would be that you could get hurt by your own nades since it's WP and you can't protect yourself against it easily. In past seasons, Gold meant you knew the basics of the game.

This season however, ranked system was thrown out the window. What used to be ELO req for Silver 4 is now Diamond.

I used to be Gold all previous seasons, but this season I got placed into Plat 2 and shortly after became Diamond.

So Gold right now should be pretty average.
Not to offend you, but it might be that you were placed there as a fluke, specially if you bought the game yesterday. Don't get too demotivated if you start going down.

When does a CTU bring assault rifles to an operation, and when do they bring SMG's?

Because I've only ever seen pictures of them with SMG's.

Smg's had their day because when they were used they were compact and did the job. But now that you have that compactness with the power of an intermediate cartridge along with the customization of modern rifles, there's no reason to not use carbines. It's basically indie Seej meets Time Crysis.
Sides swap after three rounds, no classes but most of the generic gadges are in, and attackers use a persistent inventory for all three rounds - so if you use all the breaching charges in the van on the first round you're SoL for the next two.

How am I wrong?
I only used CSGO as a quick comparison.

Obviously it doesn't have skins and stuff but you won't see the same kind of teamplay as you do in R6. Especially in PvP.

I like insurgency a lot, it's just not near R6 in terms of tacticool. (Unless you have some kind of group to play with or whatever and if that is the case I'd rather go play Squad instead)

It's not so bad with random players, but groups who know each other will follow whatever one suggests. I have more of a problem with people shouting directions and garbage information while I'm trying to listen for enemy players. I have a mic and rarely use it for exactly that reason.

Insurgency is a very fun game, it's arcade levels of fast in nature, but you can take it slow and tacticool with friends.

The PvE is honestly where the money is, as it's intense, especially during moments where you must defend points you captured.

Of course, all my points are subjective so take it as you want.

Insurgency isn't tacticool at all. The shooting feels really good and you have to confirm your own kills with your eyes. What I did notice is that everyone runs around like its call of duty. Everyone is basically 3 speed Ash but with even better guns.

The engine feels really great for a tactical game but no one really plays it like that.

Squad plays like ARMA in scale. But the infantry combat and movement is a thousand times better. The effects and sounds are some of the best i've ever heard. Spent 5 years in the Marines and Squad has nailed the sound of bullet cracks and snaps when they are close. But Squad is still in early access/beta but the development is moving along very well now.

Just play Project Reality. Same devs, same idea, but way, WAY more content right now. Also free. Only downside is the interface is a little more of a pain and the graphics are a little dated since it's a Battlefield 2 mod. Looks damn good for it's age though.
