Geralt wasn't going to let that one slide. She makes fun of my horse, fine. She insults my beard, fine by me. She drinks all my apple juice? Okay! But disrespecting Gwent? Fuck no.

Is it just me or are hybrid builds garbage in this game compared to Witcher 2?

In Witcher 2 you could fully max out two trees by the end of the game, in this one you need to sacrifice some essential skills to do a hybrid build since you only get 12 slots.

Haven't done the DLC yet, heard they added some skill slots or something? Are hybrid builds decent now?

I say, drop them as soon as you have a good target.

Against monsters, try using them in the riders.
Or if they put a single ''strong'' card in game, like Eredin or the ancient foglet.
Against Scoiatel, use them against the elven mercenaries. Seriously, take those away and he'll be forced to use Isengrim in the second round if you with the first one.
Against Skellige, don't know, but soon. As you say, priestess start appearing and then your Epidemic is just shit in your hand, Removing 4 points... Ridiculous.
A good move could be using them against the An Craite raiders / Svanrige. They are all 4 points in the first round and is kind of common to use Svanrige + Ermion to start putting the raiders in the table.

NR... don't know, they fluctuate a lot. Priscilla really fucks Epidemic. Medics and Nenneke too, to an extent.

Now that all decks are going to have 3 Clear Skies and the new Geralt is a nice counter to weather immumity, what will be the next Monsters route?

Your whole deck, literally. (Actually no, now that I look at it)

No more Scoiatel control.
A few cards, like commander's horn, Nature's gift or Decoy, will be retired from the game, you won't be able to use them again with Aglais.
Aglais will be 5 strength, I think.
Isengrim won't spawn a neophyte for every special card in your graveyard. Instead, you have to play him and then he will spawn 2 neophytes for every special you play.
Aeliren, a card that destroyed your neophytes and damaged the opponent, now is a buffing card. She buffs every Elf card with a +1 and she spawns immediately from your deck if you have 5 or more elfs in your side.
Tremor will damage all non gold cards, yours included.

So yeah, big changes. I would advise to save the scraps until the patch notes are published.

Why the foreshadowing is eerie? In the context of the game - do you remember when Baron wanted Geralt to give Tamara that doll in order for to "remember where she belongs"? Well, provided that giving Ciri Lara's necklace contributes to her not returning to Geralt's world at the bad ending, the necklace imo is to be interpreted in the same way as the doll - a reminder of where she belongs with her elven blood. The entire Baron-Tamara relationship is like a foreshadowing for the sad version of Ciri-Geralt, so there's that.

Considering the books and the way CDPR interpreted/wrote Avallac'h - giving Ciri the necklace is as if a) encouraging her to take whatever conflicted feelings she/he has developed for him/her seriously, b) handing her fate and body over to the elves, and especially to THE elf who has a hard time distinguishing between her and his former lover - but who also would not mind at all if Ciri would get with a child that would subsequently be under their influence (the easiest way to ensure that is to simply let the father be one of the aen elle); and add to that that Avallac'h with his special genes was initially intended to be the 'other half' of the culmination of their genetic experiment.

I am glad they actually put that option in; otherwise the allusions to just how twisted Ciri's storyline via the elves actually is would have disappeared altogether.

Doesn't make it any less uncomfortable though.

I am only seeing it viable against Skell Medic decks. Weather decks can easily handle NR Medic decks. But even then, this deck only seems to be useful in that one instance now -- not later when Medics are nerfed.

Only time the Caretaker is bad is against ST, cause they have 0 valuable cards.
Best you can do is get a blue mountain commando.

I usually steal the enemy's Eredin or Frost giant. I steal Sigfrida or queensguard from Skellige (Btw, if you steal the queensguard with the griffons and they play one with the caretaker, all come from your graveyard, so that's like 12 extra points that you get and steal from your rival).
NR give me depromoted cards, like the BB, or Nenneke/Priscilla at worst.

And not only you get an extra card, you deny your opponent from using it.

I guess teleportation is a complex spell reserved for higher end mages and sorceresses, the people Triss is helping are low tier mages and some like Albert Vegelbud aren't even that. Triss would have no problem teleporting herself out, but she cant teleport them with her.
