It seems the real problem with Garen right now, is he has exactly 2 reasons to be tanky:
His passive
Complete lack of CC means he needs to not instantly die when getting into the team's back line

but then he also has an AoE Crit, really really good ratios, and the ability to convert 100% of his burst into TRUE DAMAGE, in other words he has True Damage that scales off of the enemy's health (%missing or Max) and is increased by his own AD.
So he benefits far more from damage than he does from HP, plus DMP or SV alone gives him plenty of health anyway
One more thing: his passive is fucking useless late game, because Garen has no way out of a fight once it starts - Unless he gets a Pentakill of course. It only serves a function early game to keep him somewhat durable in lane, but still doesn't help him in what his role as a Juggernaut is designed to do - be a lane bully and win trades. Garen is intended to get as many E ticks as possible, but if he's doing this his passive is not working at all.
Not suggested by Garen mains, but I personally feel his W should instantly proc his passive for its duration.

BT is more lifesteal, more AD for your crits, and gives a shield.
It's just a better item overall.

The BoRK buffs are nice but all they really do for most ADCs is make it feel better to buy when the situation is correct for it (tanks are stacking health or someone is just walking at you and nobody is keeping them off you).
BT is better defensively in nearly all situations and better offensively in enough of them to make it the safer purchase.

Haunting Guise is half the price, gives the exact same amount of Mpen(which is the ONLY REASON you should even consider Liandry's in the first place) and only 100 less health and 55 less AP.
You don't build Liandry's for the health, you don't build Liandry's for the AP, and you certainly do not build Liandry's for the burn unless you've never once seen the math done and don't know the difference between %MHP and %CHP.
You build Liandry's for one thing only, and that's the +15 Magic Penetration, which already exists on Haunting Guise. The only reason to ever build Liandry's is to upgrade your Guise once you're 6 slotted.

This is common knowledge to anyone who has done even a tiny bit of research into the subject.

-Skt offered Faker 4 million in stock and a 3million/year contract, and senior jobs at SKT's mother company for him and his family, Faker took this offer.

-KT wanted MaRin instead of Smeb, but MaRin rejected them and told them to hire Smeb or he would sign with Longhzu, create a superteam and personally make sure KT couldn't get to worlds ever again (it's known SKT and Samsung will be the #1 and #2 team next year, with KT trying to get the 3rd seed). KT complained to Riot about this but there was nothing Riot could do besides telling MaRin to "chill out". KT signed Smeb out of fear

-Longzhu was and still is trying to get MaRin with a 3mil/year contract, but MaRin feels happy in LGD and LGD has reported to Riot these poaching attempts.

-Without MaRin, Longzhu won't get Easyhoon, without Marin and Easyhoon they have no real chance of being a top team next year. They do signed Pray and Gorilla though. It's speculated that MaRin doesn't want to go to Longhzu because of Smeb's, MaRin wants Smeb to succeed.

-MaRin told Kkoma that if he benched Duke he would make Smeb sign with SKT. Kkoma told this to Duke and he got angry and left the team because he thinks he is better than Smeb and he would not be sharing playtime with him.

-When Faker find out about this he told Kkoma that he was leaving with Duke if Smeb was part of the team, so Kkoma ended without Smeb and Duke. Apparently Faker dislikes Smeb.

-MaRin got mad about this but there was nothing he could do, he told Riot about it (a player is not letting another player sign with a team because he just doesn't like him) but there was nothing Riot could actually do about it. Then MaRin got Smeb into KT but left himself without a proper korean team to go, so he signed with LGD again.

-Peanut will stay with ROX, they got a huge investor.

-Kkoma wanted Rush so he could share playtime with Blank, but he is going to SSG almost for free, teams like Misfits, Snake and Fnatic were offering him a 1mil contract per year but he really wants to play with SSG, apparently he is friends with CoreJJ.

That's it about Korea, everything about EU is public already so now NA:

-Immortals got Duke and Bengi, Duke is being paid 700k/year while Bengi gets 1mil/year

-TSM tried to get Deft for 500k/year multiple times but he rejected them and asked to not be bothered again if it's not for at least 1mil

-TSM tried to get Pray for 500k/year but Pray said he was making that playing for ROX and told TSM not to bother him again

-TSM tried to get Piglet for 500k/year but Piglet said he wanted a different support to work with, TSM asked him if Adrian would be good and he said "just forget about it, the answer is no"

You should only ult on Vel'koz if you pull off a skill shot on them first. Like Q + E. Because if you stack a passive on his ult you get 125% AP true damage ratios. You literally don't know what you're talking about.

Also no one said it was bad to do so. Just it is far less useful than just straight stacking AP if most of the enemy team didn't build MR since his true damage is just going to destroy them anyway. If they stack MR -> Void. If they stack HP -> Liandry's. Otherwise just stack AP.
